I thought it was brilliant and have seen it twice. There's definitely a conservation theme to it. However, after spending $400 million, you would think James Cameron could have forked out for a decent script writer. The dialogue is actually fairly lame and riddled with cliches.

Stunning movie regardless, definitely worth seeing.

No, but they did have Americans with guns.

True, a decent script writer would have helped and Cameron is fortunate everything else makes up for it a la Titanic.

        • Received "Balibo" on DVD for Christmas.

Interesting and well acted story. Very thought provoking.

Aussies do these types of movies very well.

              • ok i might sound like I'm jumping on the avatar bandwagon, but suffice to say the visually most brilliant movie Ive ever seen, pity about the American hoo ha marines rule the universe, yanks have fragile egos and need to remind themselves how good they can be, no wonder they're in awe of our sas? but i highly recommend the movie. try to think of the native population as American indians, it makes more sense then?

I would like to be the filling in a RDJ and Jude Law sandwich. But only when they are dressed up as their characters from Sherlock Holmes.
