The renewable fuel revolution died about 5 years ago....along with my smallish investment. Basically startups found that as their product became popular, the feedstock used to blend the fuel became more expensive. At the time palm oil and tallow was king. Prices trebled as they did with corn. In mexico, corn field farms that were previously modest, became playthings of US petroleum companies. The price of tortillas trebled.
Renewable fuels is a threat to food supply. How many forests will be raised so we can drive green cars?
