Drugs are not for everybody. But Branson's point is that governments are not in control of them, they just won't admit it.
Chook.

Make the government the pushers,& all the non-drug users gain the benefits via the extra tax revenue..
But that would require thinking "outside the box"..

I have been saying it for years they should just decriminalise all illegal drugs.
Coles & Wollies could open chains of drug stores like their bottle shops. They could have specials like they do with alcohol.
3 grams of Columbian oke 90% pure for $35.00
Ozzies of the Northern lights for $25.00 stuff like that
The whole issue is a joke, Govening bodies have no idea on drug use. Alcohol should be the thing banned.
I would say more but I have to go & clear my nostrils.

Drugs should only be legalized for terminally I'll patients that need pain relief.
Rather than legally market drugs I'd rather a conscientious effort be put into educating people to get off them and not use, coke, heroine, crack, speed and grass.
That's the big picture. Stop the use. Just like we highlight the dangers of smoking and drinking with bans on ads, and health warnings, we houldnt make the legalization of illicit drugs, no matter how recreational they may seem.....an option or the focus of our energies.
Stop using. That's the message. Not make it legal. Because like it or not, no matter how well educated or warned kids are....if its legally available it's easier to get than it is today. Some may argue its easy enough today...true. Why make it easier.
Sorry....I'm completely against grass, coke, smack and anything else that is currently illegal. Grog and smokes is a different argument, and not the focus of this point, so please don't retort with that one.
And yes, I have experienced some of the items we are discussing.Alcohol never solved any life problems.....then again neither did milk.

What other paradigms reward psychopathy? I hope you are not writing things to make money.......or is the reward something more honourable like love of knowledge or the belief that what you have to say needs to be heard????....some psychosis

Melon.
You make some good points & I agree with most of what you say.
I don't use, either. Never have, but the legal system is not working in cutting use of these narcotics.
I don't know of any country that has succeeded in getting rid of illegal drugs by legislation, correct me if I am wrong.
In places that have introduced the death penalty for supply and/or use it just makes them go deeper underground & pushes the price up along with the crime rate for users trying to satisfy their needs.
What IS the answer? I have NFI. I just know that everything that has been tried so far has had VERY little impact.
