How do you know the situation was in control? From 8 seconds of grainy mobile phone footage?

If the bloke was indeed reaching for the cop's gun (which we have no reason not to believe given he was already resisting arrest and being ejected for assault) then I have no issue with a cop taking extreme action to ensure that he doesn't succeed.

Or maybe nothing that extreme happened. Maybe in trying to arrest this piece of shit the perp managed to land a nice one right into the cops nuts and he decided would get a bit of retribution on him after a long day copping abuse from bogan trash.

Either way, I feel no sympathy for the idiot. I've yet to read a case of police brutality which didn't begin with someone being an absolute scumbag deserving of a beating.

And I have no problem with you having that opinion...

I was only giving my opinion, that I felt it was an unnecessary use of force..

Maybe I am just a little soft...

And I have no reason not to believe that the Italian captain slipped on the deck and fell into the life raft...

The Rodney King footage convicted Stacey Koon and his fellow officers of violating King's civil rights. It said nothing about the fact that Rodney King was high on PCP and Angel Dust when he was pulled over.

Same with this footage, nobody can say what really happened.

            lol
Maybe you should stop reading police reports.
            Context: Cricket match (members)
            Incident: Unruly spectator
Action: 3 securty guards and 2 pigs
Consequence: Pig throwing cowardly punches to defenceless citizen
Evidence: 8 seconds of grainy mobile phone footage/pig declaring spectator in the members stand during a cricket match went for his gun when asked to leave.

Comment: Dansh would be the ideal citizen in a police (pig) state.

I forgot to mention that the cowardly pig, Thomas Murdoch, is the son of the assistant commissioner and central metropolitan region commander Mark Murdoch, who initially investigated the incident.
The pigs father outraged the public by declaring Mathew Giles had gone for an officers gun. When the media asked the commissioner if he was aware that the officer in question was his son.......he stepped aside.
The Greens have called for an independent review. Corruption and nepotism seem obvious here.
Giles has lawers and is ready to defend the spurious claims and sue the lying pigs.
They could have gotten away with this 30 years ago or when dealing with aboriginals who canot afford lawyers but today if the boys in blue flaunt the law they will be punished.

Judging by your spelling, (which apart from your bogan opinions) is the only thing we have to judge, you and your realtives (sic) would not be watching the cricket in the members.
I have now heard that Mr Giles is a director of his own very successful events management company and his wife is........you guessed it.................a LAWYER. At present all media requests for further info have been denied. Looks like the Giles's are amping up for showtime. In these situations, especially where savvy media/legal is wielded, a 5 figure payout is to be expected.
Just remember....not only will they have leverage against a reckless pig.....not only is the pig stench now firmly in the public domain.......but the pigs father compromised a position of authority by blabbing lies without thinking.
                      Taxpayers will foot the bill.
Nice day at the cricket $$$$$

What sort of thing would "warrant that response" in your mind..??

Congratulations, more flatulence and shit have never been spilt on this or any forum. let me know if youd like to borrow my life membership to the SCG....but I dont know why you would need it, Souffs havent played a GF for 40 years and arent likely to...assuming they are played there once more.

You clearly have an issue with authoritory.

Probably due to an unchecked little memoire from boarding school.

Is it any wonder you have never and will never demand respect?

Shove that through your spell checker.

I really dont know what your problem is PTB. Its true, a member of my family would never find him or herslelf in that situation. To date history validates that statement. is it wrong to say that? is it wrong to know that as far as Im concerned Ive made every effort to not raise a child that would grow into a young man or wman that would find themselves the target of some heavy punishment.

Is that so bad? i would hope you and yours would never find yourselves in that position willingly. I would hope you have done all you can as a father, brother, uncle to say the same.

Its clear the guy on teh receiving end did something to warrant that reaction. At least it should be considered. What did he do to warrant it? I dint know I wasnt there. But a heavy handed response like that, tells me it was something that may have warranted that type of response.

But we have self appointed intellectuals, like Souffsman, immediately jumping on the "Pig" bangwagon.

What happened to the objective view?

Why do you feel I have a problem just because I have a different opinion to you?

I stand by my original statement, that I don't believe it is a police constable's job to determine who cops a beating and for what reason.

Happy to agree to disagree though. We usually do.
