How many of you use the ignore setting?

I have been on here a few years now and every now and again certain posters get on my nerves and I consider using the ignore. The last time I considered it was for Bejurk and MRHK but from memory they were temporarily banned around the same time and their posts have improved since their return. In fact the posting on the site in general improved around that time but is sliding backwards again.

Apologies, my bad. I thought you were one of the 4 or 5 banned a few months ago, but now I remember it was that Chicken from China Town or something that was banned instead.

I do believe your posts have improved since around that time though. Maybe you were 'warned'.

No I was not warned. The only warning I got was from posters who are so full of hot-air that they think their feelings about who should get banned are worth something. The name Big Poppa Pump rings a bell but thankfully I am on his ignore list so I am no longer under the scrutiny of that fat tub of lard and hot air.

I will admit you do take a little getting used to, but nowdays nothing you post really fusses me. It does make me shake my head when you ask for my opinion and then criticise because you don't like it, when you know full well you won't bloody like it before you even ask!

I think putting someone on an ignore list is pretty lightweight. We are on an open forum. We are going to get trolls, and people with differing opinions. The banter back and forward is enjoyable, and it really shows that people need to get a thicker skin. Its not down the pub where you can pick and choose who you talk with, its a bloody open footy forum.

On a side note, I am suprised some of the pea hearts on here have not asked this to be moved into the off topic discussion section. If you want a nice and friendly pat on the back forum, piss of too Friar Tucks masterpeice.

The ignore list is great. If that helps people deal with stuff they dont want to see, then good. If you want to see it all thats cool too.

You can't just live in the past Friar. You may have been round this forum longer than most, however it is an open forum, and people will come and go. If you want your merry men together with no interuptions from so called newbs, you need to hang on your own forum.

I think thats the key point...even if something is unfunny or even borderline offensive you cop it sweet once or maybe even twice.
