[QUOTE=Paddo Colt 61;n858074][QUOTE=ChookMaster; A lot of people are saying it doesnt effect us with Biden winning.. it effects us quite a bit. China are in our region and are almost our neighbours, they are on the rise drastically the only country to be at almost as they were pre COVID economically ( the US did report a 33% GDP growth tho for the last quarter ) their recovery from the virus has been astronomical so trump may of been an idiot at times but he stood tough on the CCP and held them at bay, can Biden / Harris do the same? If not and they allow them too much freedom they will do whatever the hell they want. Look at them now we are currently in a war with them so we would need a strong administration to support our resistance to the CCP.
What a load of tosh and we should include ROC and Jax's posts in the same category. When I was a kid I thought that all adults were intelligent - the fact is though that on a Normal statistical curve ( a Bell Curve) which intelligence fits, 50% of the population are below normal and a big chunk just above. So called "democracies" work by controlling media and manipulating that huge demographic. "You can fool some of the people all of the time" as Lincoln observed. A 33% growth in GDP FFS? How ridiculous! "Held them at bay", likewise.
Where's the reasoning behind any China threat? There is none and there was none in the thousands of years that China was the Celestial Kingdom whose enormous gravitational pull attracted all of the countries of Asia. What we get here is propaganda from our great and powerful friend via Murdoch which can be easily dismissed by a little independent research. An egregious example is our recent serious loss of markets which began when the religious wingnuts who have been infiltrating the LNP for the last 20 years began mouthing off on behalf of the US. The great irony is that as a result of Trump's aggressive attempts to force China redress their trade imbalance particularly in Primary Products, the Chinese have cut our exports and our great and powerful friend has replaced us as supplier of steel, barley, beef, wine and Rock Lobsters which will now come from Maine and Rhode Island instead of Tassie. Know thine enemy is the lesson and don't spout a whole lot of News Corp/LNP dribble.

Dribbling or not at least we can have these open public discussions without any authorities punishing us for speaking out or going against their morales and values.. If you don’t believe that China are a threat to democracy and freedom of speech then I have no idea what planet you are on. Taiwan will be invaded, Germany are waking up to it and cutting ties with the CCP, Hong Kong are long gone just go and look at all the rioting before COVID mate.. what were they rioting over? Murdoch dribble? Wake up mate it isn’t just happening to us it’s happening to a lot of other countries.. India aren’t too happy with them either.. we are very lucky that border dispute which soldiers were killed over didn’t blow up into something more.. how about the militarised islands in the south China seas? I wish it was dribble mate but far out they have played the long game perfectly and are definitely on the rise.
