Its excellent news & its great for Australian boxing, I just hope he wins because like you said Haney wont be easy he's the opposite I think.
What George achieved in America was unbelievable & I just hope he gets to win in Australia, to able to win in front of 40,000 Aussies would be electrifying, what a high that would be.
George has won fights all over the world but nothing would beat winning in Melbourne against a quality opponent in Haney with a massive Aussie crowd behind him.

That was a super fight card last night at the Hordern Pavillion.
Harry Garside bronze medalist at the Tokyo games was excellent against a very awkward rangy opponent Maneur Matet a Sudanese refugee from Blacktown the fight went for 10 rounds & Garside whos trained by Johnny Lewis showed his class. I think Garside has the goods.
The most incredible fight of the night was the womens fight between Sharnell Dugan v Ashleigh Sims Tariq wife. What a fight.

The Aussies now have Kambosos the 2 Tzysu brothers, Brock Jarvis, Garside & Jai Opetaia.

Agree Mickie it was a fantastic card and I'm kicking myself for not going, I love Hordern Pavilion as a fight venue as your so close to the action.
Garside has incredible footwork and is a very classy boxer, he doesn't look like he has knock out power but he throws all his punches from nice angles.
Australian boxing is going through a resurgence at the moment and it's so good to see.

I wanna see SBW and Gallen fight Personally I think Sonny will win. Also think he didnt get enough credit for beating Botha ( who failed a pre match dope test not the 1st time ) at only his 6th fight

Got to hand it to Matty Rose he has done a wonderful job in promoting boxing in this country Mickie and look forward to the fights on Wednesday.
I was surprised at Canelo losing yesterday but the weight rises caught up with him in the end. He should go down in weight and not look for a rematch as he wont beat the light heavy.

Speaking of triple threat, how good is Sharnell Dargan?

The fight card lived up to the hype with some fantastic bouts.
Nader Hamden son climbing off the canvas in the 1st round to win a bruising encounter.
Harry Garside is a terrific boxer and I couldn't understand the commentary to get off his toes and start slugging. He isnt a heavy puncher and never will be but relies on reflexes and outstanding footwork to outwit his opponents.
Nikita Tszyu was the most impressive fighter of the night and he has the same composure and punching power that is a family trait.
Gal showed tremendous heart to keep coming when he copped a flogging and I really hope he retires now as he has slowed down noticeably and has nothing left to prove in the sport.

Watched the last three fights at the pub whilst drinking water. Harry Garside is a beautiful and elegant boxer who moves around the ring with style and grace. Has fast hand speed and throws good combinations. A real pugilist who is a pleasure to watch Look forward to watching him develop.

Nikita Tszyu has his Fathers power in that when he hits them they stay hit The sky is the limit for him

Terzievski outboxed Gallen from start to finish Gallen is tough though and for a minute or so in the ninth he had you thinking he might pull off a miracle win. Could not believe the commentators were saying it was a close fight. Cannot believe anyone could possibly think Gallen could beat SBW whom I think will beat Terzievski if they fight.

Finally did I mention Harry Garside is a beautiful boxer

What did you think of the Chalo v Castano fight Mickey?

i thought it was a ripper.

I reckon Tim Tszyu will have his work cut out for him if he gets his shot. Charlo looked pretty good and hardly makes mistakes and can certainly capitalize on any from his opponents.

Absolute beauty.
Both fights have been outstanding & both boxers have been outstanding.
I fear for Tim Tszyu if he gets into the ring with either of them, he is not at their level yet & I think Charlo would wipe the floor with him. Tszyu has to fight a couple of more fights against quality boxers & beat them convincingly before he takes on Charlo.
