Very worried about Haney's hand speed but George is a very good counter puncher with plenty of clock and at some point will tag the yanks chin and test his mettle.
George has got to get Haney into a brawl because like you said Haneys got better hand speed.

    Again "Good luck Georgie Boy".

        You lucky bugger.
I hope he brings it on home Skeez for all the Aussie supporters that will be there like you.
If he wins Skeez you will be able to say you witnessed first hand Australias greatest ever boxing moment.

        • Let’s get ready to Rumbllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllle!

I think George may have his work cut out for him. I hope he wins but won’t be too upset if he doesn’t. Haney conducts himself very well. He’s grounded and ultra talented. He’s also got Roosters fans in his camp.

          This could go either way.

          • Congrats to Haney. George was simply outclassed tonight. Wasn’t busy enough early on but that was testament to Haneys defence. The guys reminded me a lot of Mayweather.

Not sure what happened when the decision came in but the two fathers don’t look to get along.

Let’s hope the Roosters get up for him now.

            • Haney was far too quick and classy, he established the jab early and didn't let up. George looked drained and a bit sluggish and I think the weight loss didn't help.
Good luck to George he's walking away with over 10 million from the bout.

              • Too good Haney.
His reach had George standing off trying for the big shot but Haney was able to continually jab him & land heaps more punches.
Whilst I was watching it I said to my son in the early rounds that George should charge him & hope for the best but he continued to stand off Haney allowing Haney to jab him.
As RT said Haney reminded me of Floyd Mayweather.
And like JB said good luck to George he just made 10 million dollars.
There will be a rematch in America for sure but the next time Haney will get the 10 Mil & George will get the 3M. He should retire after his next bout because Haney will get him again.

                • Justin Huni v Joe Goodall June 15 in Queensland is next.
Heavy weights both Aussies, Huni 23 & Goodall 29 both undefeated with top 15 world rankings and the title of Australia’s best heavyweight on the line.
Tim Tszyu is still in negotiations with Jermell Charlo's team for a shot at the 5 belts in the Super Welter weight division or otherwise Charlo has to give up the WBO belt to Tszyu if he doesnt take up the fight.

                  • The rematch clause has the fight in Australia The next fight will be different I will be very surprised if it goes 12 rounds George will have no alternative but too push the fight from the get go Unfortunately due to Heneys superior boxing and ringcraft I see a stoppage in Heneys favour next time

Pretty sure the rematch clause has it in Aus again.

Im with you. I though George looked better in the latter rounds when he had no choice but to charge forward. Should have done it sooner.

                      • LOL you guys are kidding yourself. Haney looked to win the last three rounds clearly George was even easier for him to pick off as he came forward. But yeah I suppose he looked more menacing even if he left himself easier to be picked off.

116-112 was in some ways kind to George I called that score giving him every round I considered close

Not saying he was better than Haney in the last few rounds but that he looked improved when he moved forward. Yeah he got picked off a bit but he also landed more than he had previously. Unless he changes things up for the next fight, it will be his only opportunity to win.

Fair enough. Personally I think that’s what he will do as I agree he cannot win fighting the way he did.

My own opinion is if he tries to be the aggressor and move forward earlier Haney will continually pick him off. I think Haney has more gears and will really showcase his outstanding ring craft and all round boxing skills if pressured in such a manner. Unless George lands a lucky punch that completely changes the course of the fight Haney will win inside the 12 rounds. I hope I’m wrong on this but I learnt a long long time ago now inside a boxing ring a good boxer will just about always beat a good brawler

Hence why it’s called boxing and not brawling.

Unless it’s Rocky V of course!

I liked the beginning of Rocky V after the Drago fight when Rockys hands couldnt stop shaking. I once had this experience for about 10 mins after playing a tough game of finals footy where we scored on the bell to win the game. It is a really freaky experience where after the emotion of playing and fighting so hard you feel like you have lost some control of your body. Fortunately I was ok after sitting down for a while and was able to celebrate at the pub with the boys who all stuck to the game plan to get us over the line.

Now I always thought it was called boxing as the ring was shaped like a box
