    Seriously we're all Australians.

Each State and Territory is unique. A one policy fits all does not necessarily work. It's not a competition!

Canberra for instance is surrounded by regional NSW with people living in NSW and working in Canberra and vice versa. QLD is massive in size! Victoria is smaller with a higher density of population. NSW has the largest city surrounded by numerous regional towns. Not to mention that each state relies on different industries for their respective economies.

I was using some poetic licence there MR (I'm sure you realise that) ...but both those facts are true re masks when drinking, and locking up kids playgrounds. Crazy days.

Nothing a hole punch won’t fix. And the parks are just as busy.

Hows your LGA? Are you able to leave the house? I see Gladys has let it rip through there.

On behalf of the good people of Cumberland I can reveal our strategy of beating Covid, even beats full vaccination. It's get Covid, recover, then hello immunity! Settle down people....just playing.

I so miss the good old political satire shows (on the telly I mean, not undergrads banging social media). I think you, and certainly I, were trying to add a little of that here. Make people laugh or at least smile a little. So much material available.

I sometimes fear we have forgotten how to laugh at ourselves.

Me? I'm tethered to the clothesline in my backyard. Let off for 1 hour per day. Grass and weeds are my companions.

Bookings are weeks in advance, so no drop ins. We’re also lucky that we’re in South Canberra and most of the covid action is occurring north AT THE MOMENT! Hopefully it stays that way.
              Fark yeah.

              The dirty south rocks!

The northen numpties can keep their covid to themselves!

Well at least a few of your personalities should be able to get the vaccination even if you medically can't.

Gladys is certainly fielding on the boundary looking for the catch but mostly just covering the single. Not too confident in her hands should someone flat-bat one her way. I wonder if she will adopt the fingers up method favoured in the east? I just hope the bowling is up to it or she may be in for a tough arvo.

And yes, your right. It starts with good hygiene. A deep cleanse and a thorough airing on the hoist in the spring sun. And being a pelt, you would require a special formula of detergent. Something good for lice. I’d imagine you’d use Ivermectin? Good as new.

                  • 2 more work colleagues have now reacted badly to the vaccination and have to take time off work to recover and we have deadlines to meet. They live in different states too. Another family member also reacted badly and cannot work now as she usually does at a hospital. An 86 year old man who is a family friend was fine until he was vaccinated and now my uncle is seriously worried about him as he said looks dreadful now and can barely walk.

RWB I know you say you don't read my posts but i suspect in one of your many personalities you probably do or one of your posse will pass it on.
If my position I literally talk to hundreds of people vaccinated and unvaccinated every week and I have never come across the numbers you are quoting.
You either have many friends, family and colleagues that are extremely unlucky or your a complete dribbler and if that's the case and I suspect it is then please just stop as you are scaring normal folk out of getting vaccinated.
                      Bring on the hate.

how come doctors recommend vaccination? and why do they put their rolled up arms where their mouths are? - in the u.s. 96% of doctors have had the jab and a further 2% intend to.
taking a day, maybe two at most, off work is a known possible side effect. personally, i didn't feel anything from either jab.

                        • Speaking to a young fella in his late 20s today. Who has been double vaxxed. Coerced into it due to work. 1st shot landed him in hospital overnight due to tightness in the chest along with numbness in his arms and legs. 2nd shot fever and chills has him bedridden for 2 days. Adverse reactions happen and people who want to bury their heads in the sand and deny this are deluding themself

Now every single one of you who has taken this Your blood is clotting some are micro some are worse. Fire away sheep Can’t wait to hear you denials and the abuse that comes my way.

Yes poor young fella had probably been listening to people like you rave on and was so stress he almost had a heart attack. As for the second shot and getting chills and stuff for 2 whole days well that's not very pleasant is it.But then again it may well be better than a lifetime in the ground if he died of Covid. And my blood is fine. The nano technology they put in with the vaccine nullifies clotting.

                                A few snippets from this

Now is a critical time,” Israeli Minister of Health Nitzan Horowitz said as the 56-year-old got a COVID-19 booster shot on 13 August, the day his country became the first nation to offer a third dose of vaccine to people as young as age 50. “We’re in a race against the pandemic.”

His message was meant for his fellow Israelis, but it is a warning to the world. Israel has among the world’s highest levels of vaccination for COVID-19, with 78% of those 12 and older fully vaccinated, the vast majority with the Pfizer vaccine. Yet the country is now logging one of the world’s highest infection rates, with nearly 650 new cases daily per million people. More than half are in fully vaccinated people, underscoring the extraordinary transmissibility of the Delta variant and stoking concerns that the benefits of vaccination ebb over time.

hat is clear is that “breakthrough” cases are not the rare events the term implies. As of 15 August, 514 Israelis were hospitalized with severe or critical COVID-19, a 31% increase from just 4 days earlier. Of the 514, 59% were fully vaccinated. Of the vaccinated, 87% were 60 or older. “There are so many breakthrough infections that they dominate and most of the hospitalized patients are actually vaccinated,” says Uri Shalit, a bioinformatician at the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion) who has consulted on COVID-19 for the government. “One of the big stories from Israel [is]: ‘Vaccines work, but not well enough.’”
