My life has virtually stopped lol while this is going on, hardly venture outside nowadays, if there are people around lol.

Got the first jab the other day and got some of the causal side effects Rocky Rhodes warned us about, actually got quite crook but I am on the mend now. I will be a statistic for a number of those side effects on the WHO report now lol........anyway rather that than Covid-19.

I am still involved in the footy and touch footy and that young woman who passed away, her husband who is also awfully sick and in intensive care played footy with some mates of mine.....
Hey Brawl, hope your friends teammate gets well and out of intensive care soon and sorry to hear about his wife. It’s just tragic that people are dying because of this.

Yeah I felt pretty crook after the first jab too. It only lasted about 24 hours but I had a shocking headache and I had ‘chills they’re multiplying’ about 6 hours after the injection. Second jab last week and I had no reaction at all. Lockdown starts to do your head in after a while doing the same thing day in day out but hopefully we’ll be through this soon.

        • Latest stats

          1218 new cases
          813 in hospital
126 in ICU of 113 are unvaccinated,9 having 1 jab and 1 being fully vaccinated, 6 deaths.

Gladys is very upbeat about the vaccination rates and giving vaccination a massive push.....and called it the epidemic of the unvaccinated

Is she just being transparent or being an alarmist delivering fake news?

geez if youre having meds for a busted up neck you definitely wont be feeling any side-effects of the jab

How did you bust your neck up?

Interesting question. One which could re ignite this whole thread again. My initial thoughts are this is Gladys and the GOVT trying to play people off against one another and have us arguing amongst ourselves with such a statement. One really should assume the numbers as well as hospitalisation rates should go down as the vaccination rates increase for her statement to have any substance whatsoever, as opposed to being used as a measure to have us all argue amongst ourselves.

The more people vaccinated should see both sets of numbers decrease, but seeing all here agree on one thing that it does not stop you getting it or transmitting it, the actual numbers will not decrease, perhaps a chgange of season could but this has not happened in UK,perhaps hospitalisations will decrease. It is way too early for Gladys to say what she has said with any real clarity or data to back it up as right now the majority are unvaccinated. IT is my belief this is nothing more than a divide and conquer attitude being used to have us arguing amongst ourselves. Personally I have zero interest in arguing about it but the question was interesting enough for me to answer. For any of those who want to ridicule this or be abusive in any way you can go and get fornicated.

When the UK opened up on July 9 a lot of epidemiologists were warning of 100,000 new cases a day but a drop in deaths due to the high vaccination uptake. It's been 5 weeks and the daily cases have hovered around the 30,000 mark per day and the deaths around 100-150 mark per day.....thus far its been a real success. Its probably where Australia is headed but with a significant scaled down version with the lower population.
I don't know why she needs to divide & conquer when you're already the Premier and are at unbackable odds to win the election???

Anyhow i was getting 4 nights a week work before the shutdown and i need to get back to that because although my wife is a good sort she is breaking balls bigtime. Im at the stage where id pay to work at night-i need a rest!!!

i'm a labor voter and i don't think gladys is trying to divide and conquer on this.

however you look at it the vaccines work - they make transmission less likely and hospitalizations and deaths much less likely
