there's also the fear that the reason you can't get vaccinated makes it more likely that covid could do nasty things to you.
Zac, I've never encouraged or discouraged anyone about any sort of medical treatment as I'm not a doctor. I support all my friends in whatever path they choose apart from following Souths. A girl must maintain some standards.

As for nasty things? I've survived far worse both mentally and physically from what I've previously posted about on here. The sun is shining and I'm in a better place in my life now so I really don't want to repeat it again. But I will say to you that my doctor to this day still says to me that she does not know how I lived with the pain of my previous illness as she said she had grown men cry in her surgery with lesser symptoms than me. I even continued going to work with the pain and was back in the office 10 days after my surgery. I have an unusually high pain threshold and the professor who looked after me was astounded at what I had been putting up with. I'm wired differently to the average human both spiritually and physically and I'm sorry if that doesn't fit the narrative of most on here or makes people uncomfortable. It makes me a good employee, friend and family member. I see, feel and hear things differently to the average human also as I can channel the pain of others. This is who I am and like it or lump it. 99.9% of you will tell me to go take a hike after this post and I think I will do just that as it's a beautiful day outside. Take care Zac and enjoy the rest of your weekend. I'm really looking forward to the game tomorrow and it will hold a lot of sentiment for me as I said Toowoomba is where my family are from originally and I still have relatives up there.

    • Can all the people who don’t want the vaccine go to the supposed infected areas and just hang out without a mask on? While you’re there, touch plenty of surfaces and then your face. Then return home and quarantine like you’re meant to be and see out the virus in the comfort of your own home. Make sure you have plenty of supplies.

Don’t think you can outrun the virus, it will get you. May as well get it now while you’re young and strong. With our without the vaccine.
      ..it’ll be interesting to see

fair enough, but when you re-tell stories of bad things that have happened to people you know who've taken vaccines you're giving a skewed view of how effective they are and that sort of talk might discourage people who are weighing up whether or not to take it. doctors pretty much unanimously support their use and that's good enough for me.
none of my business but might be a good idea to check with your doctor and see if the delta variant has changed the risk/benefit equation of taking the vaccine or not.

but yeah, it is a beautiful day and i've done some washing and just put it out to dry on the block's roof and stayed up there for a half hour of sun. there's smoke all around so maybe i'll get lung cancer for my troubles. that'll teach me

there's no sensible reason to oppose mass vaccination. heavens - considering where we were a year ago i'd have welcomed vaccines that were less effective. this vaccine is incredibly effective and i'm happy to have a booster shot when necessary
Yeah I agree. I honestly believe it’s helping in Canberra at the moment, that and the fact the government locked down fast. The numbers would be far worse if we’d followed GB’s way. Still the sooner we open back up again the better for everyone and I believe vaccination is the best way to do this. That’s apart from letting it rip through the entire country till we reach herd immunity, completely destroying our health system. Not to mention the number of dead bodies.

True and at the moment Canberra is the highest vaccinated state or territory in the country so I am grateful to live here. Even though I hate the slime machine faiders.

On a different subject, you need to learn to put spaces between the new sentence and full stop. And no I’m not analysing your writing style as others have said, I’m just pedantic and a perfectionist. Perhaps some would even call it anal retentive.

I will try and rectify that for you .
I was also extremely happy to be living in NSW up until the last few months , but to totally honest we as Australians have been very lucky the way we have come though relatively unscathed compared to other parts of the world . That's something people need to remember , this is a global issue and wont be overcome without helping the poorer parts of the world .
And yes 58 % first dose and 37 % second its top shelf and leading by example .

You were right about the same person posting under 2 different user names MR. One of them replied to a post meant for their other alias confirming my own instincts from the very beginning also.

Oh for goodness sake Zac. You called someone else on another thread a Last Word Larry and now you are doing the same. I already explained to you that very recently my GP, 2 professors and my pharmacist all said I cannot have any type of vaccination. I really think you blokes get some enjoyment out of trying to bait me. And as for the one with multiple personalities, every time you say something disrespectful to me, you are setting yourself up for some bad karma towards all the women in your life too. That is how it works. What goes around comes around, 3 times over. Just remember that next time one of your daughters or your wife is on the receiving end of something unpleasant. It's called the Law of Attraction..go research it.

Your like a dog with a bone old girl.
Give it up as it appears according to my inbox most are well and truly on to you. Self appreciating and exaggerating the truth about yourself is a very unattractive trait and you have both in spades .

medical advice can change as risk changes - e.g. young people were told not to take the az vaccine but with an increase in cases and the increased deadliness of delta they are being encouraged to take it.
but like i said that's none of my business and please accept my apology if i've upset you

I had the last consultation over the phone yesterday at 8am as I got the first appointment. I wasn't joking or being sarcastic when I said recent. Thank you for the apology and I know you are not a cruel or vindictive person. . I really appreciate it Zac and it says a lot about you that you said that to me so quickly also. You are a class act and I won't forget this in a hurry.

Everyone needs to be aware of side effects and to plan for time off work afterwards and not just one or two days either. Some people get paid by the hour or on a daily rate so they need to budget for it also. Also making sure they have their emergency contacts up to date too is important. No one enjoys fainting or having seizures. That is why I speak up as some people (not all as I don't believe in making sweeping statements) are lulled into a false sense of security thinking that they are now all of a sudden bullet proof.

. I'm glad you had no side effects Zac as I know you've been through enough also when you previously said you had chemo for a year. That's way too long by anyone's standards and I'm glad you are still with us.

Not everyone has the same medical makeup and what works for one person can be very dangerous for another.

Oh and to the one who keeps accusing me of talking myself up, maybe if you didn't rip me to shreds every time you log on, I wouldn't have to keep defending myself.Keep digging your hole and see where it takes you if that floats your boat. At least my resume has been put to good use also..

I don't wish harm on anyone on here or anyone's loved ones either.

Have a great rest of the weekend everyone and let's all enjoy tomorrow's game. The Roosters are one thing we can all agree on respectfully.
