Does anyone here get Foxtel on xbox?

I can't get regular foxtel where I live but I've been told that you can get it through xbox. Do they show any games live and what is the quality like? they have a starting package at $19.50 a month but the xbox is going to set me back $500 so I want to make sure it's worth it. Any advice is much appreciated.

i have an xbox but not Foxtel on Xbox, be wary of the packages though, i think they may be different to the normal Foxtel packages

I guess if your gonna play games as well it will make the $500 alot more worthwhile

Try the telstra T Box, costs about $300 or you can add it on with any telstra internet package for $11 per month. Picks up all free to air & digital channels, various additional sports & news channels & 24/7 NRL channel & an NRL interactive channel all at no extra cost. You can also get various foxtel channels, including fox sports but that does cost extra, not sure how much though.

I did try the tbox but it was rubbish. I sent it back. It kept buffering during a game.

Then sign up to Foxtel for xbox live

Purchase the programs you want, eg nrl sport.

Just go do a search on foxtel xbox n it has a lot of information for you to check out.

you wont get live games through foxtel on xbox, they have a dedicated nrl channel with 24 hour replays and highlights..

I must've rung them 10 times trying to sort it and basically had 2 problems. 1. they were asians and were very hard to communicate with and had no idea about rl and as a result couldn't understand how continual buffering made it impossible to watch and 2. It takes about 20 minutes to get through everytime. Very very frustrating.

A friend put me onto this site to watch the charity shield game.

I had no buffering issues whatsoever, and watched the whole game off my laptop whilst laying back on the lounge guzzling beer.

I was very impressed.

if you get internet through Xbox, you can get an offshore VPN subscription like "Strong vpn" or "hide my ar$e" & receive 'LIVE HD" through the NRL site at 10% of what they charge to local customers because they do this to attract off shore subscribers.

Offshore vpn tricks suppliers like NRL or Foxsports into believing you are not a local...so you can hop on for small dollars to watch HD.

For no money but lower quality you can watch any game live via portals such as www.sportlemon.tv who's better receptions are via Ireland, you get at least 3 x options (links) per game....

lol Yeh I agree with VPN, it's cheap and you can do all sorts of things you can't through local internet. Ray Stehr, if you were willing to pay for Xbox360 and some foxtel package, it will be far cheaper to pay to use the vpn option. vpnuk are an option at about $12.50-$15.00 per month.
