Points if you can guess where we got the names of the bottom 4 from.
In Japan I had a turtle called kamehameha (kame means turtle in Japanese and the word reminded me of DBZ).Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

This is our Border Collie Rusty. He was originally named Soondalee Wang; we got him as a pup from a Korean farming family up here on the Mid North Coast.
The kids wanted to rename him Rusty due to his colouring. I tried to talk them out of it by telling them that there was actually another Rusty who was a very bad man and who had done many terrible things
but they wouldn't listen. They wanted him to maintain some of his Korean roots so they went with Rusty Wang.
The photo in the link (if it works, I don't have permission to add attachments) is of him nervously watching the dying stages of the 2019 GF.

We name our dogs after food in our family too. We had Muffin in Melbourne but she passed away from old age in 2012 shortly after I moved back home to Sydney. We now have Honey and Toffee. My sister is a diabetic..cruel irony I know..but she loves the dogs anyway..Last edited by redwhiteblue; 08-01-2021, 10:16 PM."Those who care about you can hear you, even when you are quiet" - Steve Maraboli

We had Scamp, a beautiful boy who had kelpie and collie in him plus a bit of something else in him, used to walk him around Kippax Lake opposite the Sports Ground when we lived in Paddington and also remember wandering into the SCG with him on the lead a couple of times when Easts were training, this was in the late 60s.
When we moved to Kingsford we didn't have as big as backyard as we did have in Paddington so we didn't have another dog but we got a beautiful ginger cat called Toby, he was a character and more like a dog than a cat, he lived to a good old age till he had to be put down, then many years later when i moved out of the family home and before i truly settled down i had a lovely ginger cat called Smudge, she came across with me when i finally settled down with my life long partner and was an integral part of our lives till she passed away.
I loved all three of them but geez when Smudge passed away it was the hardest because being older you realise how much more they are part of the family.
