Now Cummins can't play in the second Test...Covid close contact at a restaurant in Adelaide.
Two other of our test cricketers were at the same restaurant...but dined outdoors... or our second Test team could be three stars short.
No absolute bubble for the cricketers.
Now look what's happened.
Think this can't happen to our footy team...losing star player/s on the eve of matches?
Think again.
Seems to me that *everyone* and *everywhere* have given up...it just "all too hard".
Our players go to a restaurant, three are deemed close contacts...ruled out of a vital match.
We lose, our season over.
Welcome to "lucky dip" season 2022.

It's funny, not funny HAHA though. I went out Yesterday and spent a lot of time in smaller shops maskless. Some people working there were 'that's cool, you've got the double vaccine papers' and others were really shirty. I get a nasal swab every Monday and Friday at work so I know I'm clear. And the lady doing it has so far missed puncturing my brain pan.

Not everyone got vaccinated, and now the vaccines are wearing off. By the time the footy season starts it'll be like no one was ever vaccinated.
Except those who've had a booster.
Seems to more than one person that the protesters won the day....and the govts ran away.
Players' wives have jobs to go to, kids have to go to school, but surely there should be some rules.
But no, it's now open slather.
Daily infection rates are at record level, and hospitalization and ICU numbers are slowly increasing. Another death yesterday.Last edited by bondi.boy; 12-17-2021, 02:46 PM.

2500 cases, zero deaths. Similar numbers in Melbourne last year and there were 20 to 30 deaths every day when there were no vaccines.
One can only conclude the vaccines work.
Stick to your guns NSW premier. Don't play the scarmongering, infantile, political games that the foolish and incompetent Palaczuk and McGowan play.
