Seems to more than one person that in our NSW society now, ..........with new Covid cases running at 22,000 a day, hospitals being overrun, so many people in isolation that there's turmoil everywhere, Covid healthcare staff who are close contacts to be ordered back to work, and in the big rush to "live with Covid"..........no thought or care much was given to the welfare of "old people".
Three people over 60 died from Covid the other day. 60+ is "old people", "elderly" to some.
This Covid debacle should never have been allowed to happen.
Should be interesting when all the "old people" are gone.
No 'grey nomads' buying caravans and campervans and new cars to tow them.
No patients much seeing doctors during the day.
No aged care industry.
No retirement villages.
Millions less prescriptions dispensed every day.
No one to mind children for working parents.
Etc
