What is obvious though is Delta is disappearing due to people catching the more contagious Omicron which is giving people immunity to Delta. It would take an even more contagious strain to displace Omicron. The point being we will all catch Covid shortly, and repeatedly catch it due to how contagious it has become, and the immunity we gain each time we catch it will make the symptoms milder over time.

I don't think so. Government is actively attempting to obfuscate the Covid status. I would not be surprised if by kick off time the PCR tests are abolished, no more bubble requirement, just a RAT test on game day and minimal isolation period. By finals time they won't even require the RAT tests.

I think that's the way we are heading dice, putting players in bubbles isn't learning to live with the virus. The majority of omicron cases whilst easily spread doesn't cause the health issues seen with previous variants. Hopefully this year will see less constraints placed upon us and not only locally but worldwide we can get back to normality.

As long as we understand that the virus is not the threat, and the entire population should be able to enjoy the normal freedoms they did back in 2019.

The threat is the bureaucrats who haven't got the common sense to see that only people who are VULNERABLE need to be isolated, not the whole fuucking population. No one gets isolated for having a cold, because it's not fuucking deadly, and catching it actually STRENGTHENS your immune systems ability to fight infection.

Correct Thirteen. I on the other hand have some serious underlying health conditions which put me in danger, even from Omicron. All players who are healthy but have other issues such as asthma or Diabetes would be under threat from Covid. We need to tread carefully for all.
But get on with it, a person with issues will themselves be cautious.

I'm trying to book in for a third jab at the moment. I'm no anti-vax idiot but the data on Omicron seems to be more inline with what the Kid is suggesting. If we all get Omicron then its over right? It seems that elimating the virus from the planet is unlikely and that we have to prepare to live with it. Personally, that is why I thought i was taking a vaccine that still let me catch Covid and spread it to others.

Your wife can't be too bright if she ended up with you.
But if she is frontline then she will know what i have said here is true, and that the virus poses a miniscule threat to people with normal healthy immune systems, like footballers.
As i said, isolate the vulnerable, so the rest of us can get on with life.
She must also know that the vast majority of cases in hospital don't need to be there. you on the other hand, should be locked away somewhere safe, so you can't infect other normal people .
