    I know, isn't that ridiculous?

Pathetic. Now more than ever people need a song and a dance - and here the pollies go banning it to look like they're doing something. Very disappointing.

I work in private hospitals and my income will take a big hit with overnight stay elective surgery suspended, but I do think that restriction is fair enough to ensure hospital capacity to deal with the upcoming surge in cases.

But I truly hope they don't shut down any other businesses as that would be both futile and destructive. Even closing nightclubs is dumb - as if that's gonna decrease hospital admissions. So dumb.

As a non drinker, I wouldnt know anything about it but I do that know being fully vaxxed is the best way to assist in protecting others and minimising the effects of the virus.

That combined with limiting peoples movement in and about public spaces is a great way to help stopping the spread.

Oh and keep Novax out of Aus as well!

Today i worked from 7am to 3pm at a big club in the south west & then 5pm to 2am in a different club in the inner west....both had 1 thing in common-very very quiet.

These bigger clubs/venues can ride it out but there are plenty of small business owners struggling. Support your local business' where you can!!

Seems govt bowed to the protesters, saw them all and *ran away*...tossed all the restrictions out the window in Dec.
            90% vaxxed...freedom!
It was crazy...now looks what's happened...and govt are bringing back restrictions.

People are basically locking themselves down this time.

Ok Bondi . Given this thing could go on for many more months or years what is your suggestion. Do you really think people want to stay locked down and keep missing out on life or maybe now that the virus seems less deadly they would rather get back on the horse and enjoy things before they peg off. Cant hide forever . Sure wear the masks and take precautions but let her rip now and get this thing done .

'Let her rip now' was tried, it's exactly what happened...has been a total disaster.
Record deaths, record daily case numbers, supermarket shelves empty, rationing introduced, etc.
"It was better in lockdown" says restaurant industry, "at least we had takeaway.".
No jobkeeper and jobseeker payments now.
Now things are so dire risks are being taken...with staff who shouldn't be at work being *forced* back to work to prevent a total collapse of society.
Best of luck trying to get an ambulance.
                  xxx
                  My suggestion?
                  It's basically too late now.
The only way is back to what worked, and start again.
The group making up the largest number of daily infections...20-29 yr olds. No great surprise. So singing and dancing is banned, and the large concert in the Hunter has been cancelled...etc.

So where do we continue to get the money for job keeper and such . Short term pain for long term gain . A month down the track and we will turn a corner . herd immunity , vaccination and masks is the only answer to some form of normality and going backwards to lock-downs and hiding should not be part of that unless we have a different worse strain emerge and then only as a last resort .

Because they know how to stay as safe as possible.

In saying that, we need to still function however minimising movement in public is a way to have the best of both worlds. If you don’t have to be out, don’t. If you can get it delivered, do it. Excersise at home, limit socialising, work from home if possible. Still get out for a walk or go to the shops and spend some money but only if you have to.

It just needs to be a good balance.

                        • Seeing I’ve now acquired some natural immunity. It’s back to the beaches and cafes and supporting local business The gyms are off as I now train in my garage. Also during lockdown I found some wonderful outdoor training spots. Time for people to live their lives how they feel comfortable doing do. If that means staying home cowering under the doona that is their choice. If that means being cautious and being selective in where they go fair enough. If that means going out living life to the full fair enough. Close to ten percent of the adult population is reported to have been infected this year in NSW and that is the official numbers.

                            You caught the Omicron?

I tell you I am still happy I got vaccinated but there is no question that there is some ****ery going on. Robert Kennedy Jnr, Dr. Mallone and Dr. Mcullough. These people have disturbing information to share.
