Excellent intel Andy. You didn't see any Asian sailors who could have been an advanced guard from that offshore flotilla by chance? Eternal vigilance is price of freedom you know. Just ask Jax he's got his hands pretty full fighting the good fight out west.
Papa Han's in a good one in Kingsford - noodles and dumplings!

Westernised Chinese
Ah yes Brookings teamed up with a Chinese Government Approved entity for this 13 year survey one might add and would anyone ever think the "survey result" would be anything but such a score - surprised it wasn't 100%.
To believe the "respondents" were selected at random is pure fantasy as well.
The survey "respondents" may have also thought it was like the old Mao day's- the old 100 flowers campaign / double hundred movement - and didn't want to end up the same way if they criticised the Chinese commo government.
For a year or so (1956=57) old Mao allowed Chinese Folk to voice their opinions openly about Mao / Commo party elites / Commo Party / Commo party policies and what not ( Criticism and Advice) . mmm then he shut it down and around 2 million of these "critics" were rounded up - quite a number executed and the rest sent to the Chinese Laogai ( same as the Soviet Gulag).

Did the children go to Cranbrook Randy? My grandson has just left and the other is in Year 11. I was disappointed that they didn't go to a State High but such is the prejudice these days. Certainly Cranners' results are not all that impressive and the bucks spent to go there are eye watering but the boys like/d the experience. A training ground for Tory leaders of the future whom many mugs will think are just like them.

I agree its not worth the money but my missus father and brother went there, and she went to Kambala, as did her sisters and mother and grandmother blah blah something about family tradition.
I always remind the boys about my late old man, who came here from Italy after WW2, 15 years old, lived in a metal chicken shed in Campsie, worked long hours in a factory and just made enough to buy food and pay someone to teach him english.... then they roll their eyes and say yeah yeah dad we know

Same thing. My daughter went over to the bourgeoisie. She was also a Kambala-ite. Left around 1990. Those private schools do impart a confident upper class manner which is not on the agenda at State high schools though there again the home environment is probably more responsible for personal traits.
Campsie? Another wonderful Asian food mecca - enormous choice. I go regularly to Lakemba for amazing Lebanese. The El Manara in Haldon St is excellent and it's Ramadan atm so all happening at night up and down the street.
Do yourself a favour and get up there for it. Then again, it's west of Anzac Pde.

Certainly true Eddie but do you also think that the US is concerned by-stander that only wanted to help the Ukraine and is not responsible for yet another dangerous strategic misadventure?
Barron calls it correctly but still muses about voting for the ultra wealthy Queensland bald one who has opined that Trump has done the wrong thing re the Ukes, not that the ALP has a different opinion after all the long cherished "value" of ANZUS is a stake. A Clayton's treaty but very important when wedging or wanting to apply the media frighteners on the sheeple.
The US was the architect of an armed coup in 2014 carried out by their choice for the new Uke leadership, a violent ultra nationalist movement which was collaborationist and had direct links to the first holocaust which began in the Ukraine. That being the case what would one think would be the democratic future of the place? In government they quickly suppressed opposition parties and knobbled dissenting media. This was never a freedom loving outfit.

I don't agree with Albanese's or Duttons take on the situation.
