Indeed, the plot does thicken. I don't buy the story that Sascha, the wife, is on board. What I'm thinking (and only because of prior experience with this man), is a poor wife browbeaten into submission by a controller, who, when not slagging off at her Soviet education (we had 60 in a class here in the 50s), is insisting on "my way or the highway darlin'.
