2. The CIA rigged Australia's 1975 election and forced Kerr to call it early.

5. The CIA planned and executed the pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong.

Old mate can move to a 45m2 house in Russia, live off ~$10k a year, be happy with their system of government and tell the world that they're gonna be MUCH better off than me in 10 years time when the tides all turn on 'the west'. I'm doing so much better than your average Chinese/Russia person does financially, the air's MUCH cleaner and I have significantly more social/political freedom in this society. The definition of idiocy is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Izzy and King please take note. Save yourself the continuing ridicule by looking at sources such as Wikileaks' exposure of the Tiananmen lie and the myriad activities of the CIA.

Other than that, the thread has lately descended into name calling and abuse which is depressing but which which should be called for what it really is. For the Right Wing, "to Hell with Reason", alternative facts and abusive disruption are a favourite ploys. They know that they can't win on rationality so they take an off the chart irrationality path to divert and subvert the conversation which they fear might be influential. Ad Hominem reigns supreme in Oz.

The pile on and the bile which has "welcomed" the Rock to the thread is disappointing. His research appears to suggest that that existential fears in the Ukraine are nowhere near as pronounced as they are in our MSM. It was an interesting angle and one worth checking further. My advice, after a good start Rocky, is don't bite. The vilification is boring and easily passed over unless you fuel it. Just keep up the research. That will do the same job more that adequately.

And while we're pondering Rock's Ukraine footy comp revelation after we all thought that the joint was rubble, what might we think about the US demanding that China, as a member of the UN Security Council, has a responsibility to desist from aiding Russia with weapons when the US, also a member of the UNSC, exports violence far and wide. I mean the egregious hypocrisy of that is breathtaking. Only a western world comletely in thrall to a western narrative courtesy of a western MSM, could keep a straight face. The unfortunate truth is that most don't even bother to think about it, truth and lies in the west are routinely and inextricably presented together.

1. CCP soldiers were also killed during the Tiananmen Square Massacre. This should be emphasised rather than the fact that the CCP used tanks and machine guns against pro-democracy protestors.

1. You cannot mention the Tiananmen Square Massacre in China without being arrested. If you don't see that as the CCP hiding shyte and being a bunch of fascists then whatevz.

2. China is not a utopian society. As noted, my house is roughly 6x the size of your average Chinese/Russian house, much cleaner (plus better built) and I earn at least 10x more than the vast majority of Chinese people.

3. As noted, 'the west' has lots of dirty laundry that's discussed by mainstream media outlets on a daily basis (which I consume and reflect on). That said, the most significant leak I've seen in recent years is the US government's leak on the Kremlin, detailing when/how they were gonna attack Ukraine (all of which Russia denied, with you copying their line). Wikileaks? Snore...

It selectively dumps large amounts of classified docs (mostly hacked by the Russian government) that have been stolen from western governments (mostly the USA from junior officers doing extremely repetitive, mundane cr@p that nobody wants to know about). It's a massive snooze-fest because there's millions of random e-mails between public servants about (99.99% of the time) boring stuff like 'hey wanna get pizza for lunch?'

Their one 'significant leak' was a doctored video of 'collateral damage' where the context was removed in order to make the scene look devious and the personnel were named (putting them personally at risk). This was stupid and Assange's more recent collusion with the Russian government has shown where he sits on all this. He's an anti-western anarchist who thought he was invincible until Sweden updated its cybercrime laws to reflect modern times.

This versus leaks along the lines of 'hey Russia - we know you're gonna attack Ukraine next month' (which turned out to be true despite all of Russia's denials) doesn't even register a blip on my radar in terms of 'damning leaks'.
