Additionally, Newsweek does not use fact checkers, so it doesn't matter where or how the authors came up with that figure. Just expressing an opinion doesn't require you to know the facts.

Last night I was listening to Tallis on a Poddie and he quite bluntly admitted that he's stoked to have a voice and a small bit of relevance. People on here hate him because he's a Souffs/Brisbane fan (and loves having a dig at Easts). However on the Poddie I thought he was quite modest. Also he said he loooooves seeing JWH/Rads play aggressive footy.

If your of Tallis' stature then you're on national TV talking about something that used to be your job. Having a voice is a privilege that not many have.

The comparative arrogance of Menadue and old mate (who both have even less street cred than Tallis) is this same desire to be relevant. Hence all the rambling about how all those who disagree are 'sheep'. Meanwhile, 99% of the stuff you see him approving for his blog (as 'editor') is literally paid propaganda from the Kremlin/CCP. I find this sorta behaviour comparable to a doco I watched a while ago. Basically there was a mother bear who'd lost her mate and protected her cub through the winter. Throughout the doco, an outcast male bear (serious beta male territory) who was too weak/ugly to find a mate tried eating the mother's cub because he was too p!ss weak to go fetch his own food.

To me if you're a farking idiot and/or somebody who's been sacked after falling out of favour then the graceful thing to do is take-up private hobbies like gardening, cooking and exercising to entertain yourself. Whereas the d-grade beta male thing to do is:

- Try to setup your own media empire called 'New Matilda'

- When it fails (because nobody gives a shyte what you and a couple of senile ex Whitlam-era staff think), sell it off for a nominal amount of money

- To fill the void... run a blog where you use your status as an ex staffer to a prime minister to endorse paid Kremlin/CCP propaganda because this guarantees you regular contributions & a small audience of likes/shares from China's 50 Cent Army. It's a farking dog act to the country one's choosing to live in (quite luxuriously, on a $$$ government pension thanks to a shady appointment as a mandarin for life by Whitlam). While it may give such people an intrinsic feeling of importance, it makes them beta-males in terms of credibility as it's worse than being a sell-out. Prostitutes have rules and boundaries so they own their bodies and monetise them (I can't criticise such people for earning an honest dollar outta their chosen profession, sometimes quire lucratively!)
