On behalf of the Russian……
BTW is there a reason why old mate's avoiding the fact that Russia's now blown up multiple cities after failing to take control of them? I seriously have no idea how anybody can think this is okay (or the doing of anyone but a mad tyrant... who I hope will have his day in court for war crimes one day soon).
Independent analysis from a source like Janes can probably provided some insights into what's going on there, for the more analytical minds amongst us.

The ex ADF officer whose opinion we've been looking at provides a far more credible interpretation than the frustrated Russians on the verge of defeat at the hands of a plucky little band of brothers are tearing around in disarray destroying indiscriminately. His take is that 90% of the invasion force is still effective. The object is not to take an occupy cities, rather the strategy is to encircle, cripple counter attack and render them powerless to reinforce what remains of the army and militias in the Donbass region.
All this nonsense that the Russian army is retreating because it has failed or wants to hold out an olive branch is horseshit but we'll never be given a true view. They control the major ports which is why our Bushman APCs are being airlifted in amid that Newscorp rubbish that they're a game changer.
Aussie..Aussie...Aussie - gung ho in another US contrived debacle. "Bushman" armoured vehicles? What the Man from Snowy River rides again? 10 of them? 500 wouldn't matter! Aussie patriotic tosh. It might almost be time to roll out that embarrassing fake news from my youth - the one which had Rommel saying " Giff me a division of Australians and I vill rule ze vorld". LOL. Most of our casualties in Vietnam were down to Viet Cong redeployment of our own ordinance.

Like I've said to Paddo many times before, I think the US is responsible for a lot of what is happening there at the moment. But that doesn't mean to say I think Putin has a right to go in there bombing the place and killing innocent people. Just because that has been the US's MO in the past doesn't justify Russia doing the same as two wrongs do not make a right.

Or alternatively Ukraine push Russia back to the point where they retreat and most of their objectives haven't been achieved.....then what?
Who is going to rebuild the cities? What happens to the millions displaced or have been left with nothing? What happens to the sick and injured and the mental health of the civilians and soldiers?
It's just another war that no one can win

He is very sad and distressed as his mother and brother are still there in Odessa. He said the Russians haven’t arrived but are close.
He is disappointed that Zelensky didn’t heed the warnings and rethink about joining NATO under US coercion and as a result ruined the country. Also the dominos that have been falling for 30 years since the Berlin Wall fell. He can understand why the Russians acted since their requests were ignored over the years and diplomacy has failed.
He told me of nationalistic fascists scaring the local population with fear and intimidation and issuing death threats if you don’t comply.
He said what is being presented here in the media is not a fair indication of is really happening both before and since the invasion.
He was surprised that I knew so much of the situation. And to that I can thank PC61 for enlightening me and hopefully some of you.

May hearts firm and steady and loyal and ready
May men who are faithful and true!
Forever be found,
To gather around,
The Cause of the Red, White and Blue!
Our fathers fought the foe,
For England long ago;
Like them home for honour, we would gladly fight and fall!
We love old England well,
But still the truth to tell,
We love the bright and sunny South, the best of all!
Chorus
For Heart to Heart and Hand to Hand,
Beneath the Southern Cross we stand
And shout “God bless our Native land”
Australia! Australia! a!
We care not for Russians,
For French or for Prussians;
So let all invaders beware,
We know how to fight
For Home and for Right;
So let them come on, if they dare.
From station, mine and town,
We’ll soon come pouring down;
The bush-men and the diggers will the mighty army swell
And ev’ry boy and man
Will do the best he can
To save the bright and sunny South, he loves so well
Chorus
For Heart to Heart and Hand to Hand,
Beneath the Southern Cross we stand
And shout “God bless our Native land”
Australia! Australia! a!

Isn't he priceless the old 07? Always good for a thigh slapping guffaw.
I would have had thought he'd be too busy sprucing up the kit in prep for joining the International Brigades that we are told are forming. Coonabarabran's finest off to kick some Commie ass - oh hang on, Russia's a democracy if one we don't know anything about but which we don't like cos they don't like Uncle Sam. No other reason.
"Cont", can I call you that for short? The full monoker cracks me up. The truth macht Frei so I trust that others have also learned something or have, at least, come to see the effect on the sheeple when exposed to alternative ideas, contrary to the tosh pedalled by our MSM. Maybe we have many more "Quiet Australians" on board.Last edited by Paddo Colt 61; 04-03-2022, 05:11 PM.
