Lol. Did you win the lotto?

You certainly are a strange character RT. Spent months on end on here preaching about staying home and getting vaccinated to avoid this hideously deadly virus. Yet pretty much as soon as the borders open, you up sticks and move to the covid capital of the world, and a country that has a very low vaccination rate 66.4 percent I saw at last look. Although New York is the highest state at 76.6 percent. So you chose very well there.
Anyway as you would know by now I am one for living life and enjoying the beaches cafes and the gym, so I salute you for your courage and bravery and once again getting out amongst it and living life as it should be lived in a thriving metropolis such as New York.

For me life is a bit more simple. Today it is off to Manly on the ferry with my Daughter where we will spend time at the beach and then some nice cafe and of course a spot of shopping for my Daughter. on the way home might even play a song to celebrate the Manly ferry cutting its way to Circular Quay

          Great song mate!

I didn’t go anywhere until the fam and I were all fully vaxxed.

we take every possible precaution when out and about to minimise any risk. We have been lucky and safe from it so far.

Gyms and cafes would not be my first choice venues still today as they are waaaay too communal. The risk us too high.

Anyway, I’ve got to head back to Aus on Thursday so will be doing a fair bit of travelling to and from and while I’m there so let’s hope I avoid it while mobile.

Hope you had a wonderful time with your daughter.

Hows the other relationship going? Hope you two are getting on again.

My wife, dog & I are going up to our holiday house in Iluka in 3 weeks to clean up a bit of mess from the rain bomb we just recently had.
Not as good as NY, Nascars or a lake front cottage in either Quebec or Ontario but the pizza at Something Tasty in Iluka & walking the Bluff beach is a close 2nd.

Would love to be sitting there having a beer at the Sedgers Reef Hotel at the moment, that place hadn't changed since the 80's, not that i have been there for quite a few years now. Was supposed to up the coast a few weeks back at Grassy Head near Scotts Head, kept a close eye on the weather and it was looking touch and go and were about to ring friends who live close by to check on the conditions a couple of days before we were due to leave but that morning got a call from the real estate agent saying the ground floor of the cabin we booked got flooded so we had to cancel, so quickly re scheduled and headed west to Orange for Good food week and had perfect weather, only hit rain coming back as soon as we got the Macquarie Pass just east of Lithgow and then had one drizzly and foggy night in Katoomba.

You've done well for yourself mate, congrats!

All them peeps who've been buying tight chinos and renting my townhouses in Campbell/Griffith/Downer for $$$ (while snubbing their nose at people in Tuggers who rent their trakkie dacks) think they're the shizzle but have no idea that they're really the peasants/philistines.

They should try renting some trakkies for a while instead of buying new chinos & smashed avo every week... then they'd be pimping it up in NYC instead of paying $$$ rent to evil capitalists like my wife and I (aka frugal mum and dad investors).

                  What a pub, asbestos heaven.
The rumour is that Chris Hemsworth bought Sedgers about 18 months ago. Him & his brother were there drinking beers a couple of years ago they were both talking to everyone, it was unbelievable that this massive movie star was standing next to me & my wife at the bar.
Its was supposed to be pulled down last year but it still standing as I type.

                    Exactly
He's a smart man the ol rented.
I wonder if he has a tracksuit supplier in the US that he rents from or if he has to return to Australia every time he wants to change his tracksuit.

Had many a good time at the Sedgers Reef and always amazed how many times i had been that it never changed, thought it would have been pulled down ages ago but it still keeps staying in its original condition. God knows it does need demolishing but anything that replaces it wont have the charm of the original.

The other thing i remember about Iluka apart from catching some big bream was back in the 80's i used to see quite a few emus hanging around the golf course on the greens, the last few times i have been i have not seen any signs of the emus, did a google search and it says there numbers have dwindled severely over the years and the population between there and Evans Head number only around 50 now, sad because it was always a highlight seeing them in the wild years ago.

Haha... love ya work mate! The south side is always home for me. It’s worked out very well for us as well.

Hope you get off to Japan soon mate. Do you miss the place? I’ve never been but it is definitely a future destination.

Heading over to Aus tomorrow for my dads funeral. Going to be all over the shop through 3 states so vaccine and quarantine statuses are a mess! It’s taken me the best part of 4 hours just to do up the online paperwork for the kids and I.

Oh RT! I came on here to tell you to get out to San Francisco if you could get a chance and then I read this. Safe travels to you and your family and my condolences. We are never the same after we lose our parents.

Oh RT..my niece had to do that trip after Mum died as she was living in San Diego at the time and couldn't make it in time. I was bad enough getting from Sydney back to Warwick via Brisbane. My poor Goddaughter flew from Melbourne to Sydney just to accompany me on that trip as I just couldn't do it alone. I'm glad you have your children for company...
