Oh dear..Music has such healing properties..I used to turn my phone off at 8pm every night when I used to get up at 4.30am to commute..now I switch it off usually around 9pm..which is now..LOL..

The Saints were great. Some great initial songs (Stranded, Know your product) bookended by the melancholy Ghost Ships and Just like Fire wood.

The Saints in Brisbane and Radio Birdmen in Sydney were rocking in the 70's. Aussie punk which was different and more honest than the contrived UK scene.

I saw the Laughing Clowns and Ed Kuepper a few times. Never got to see the Saints. Laughing Clowns inspired me to learn the trumpet for a while and I rehearsed with a band called The Black Box (though they didn't really want me 'cause I was probably too shy at that point. I got quite a shock when I saw Black Box were riding high on the charts....but of course, I later found out they were an Italian dance band.

Agree with everything you said BP..I remember all those clips from sitting up late at night watching Rage when I was around 14. Dad used to come out and tell me to go to bed..I got away with it by saying they are Queenslanders Dad! Plus you know my whereabouts.....on the floor with my home made Roosters crochet blanket..exactly 40 years later I'm still wrapped in the same blanket whilst typing this..only on a sofa now due to old bones..I also got away with playing the Divinyls loudly..but Mum..Chrissie is Little Pattie's cousin...oh ok..that's ok then..yes I can hear the resemblance in their voices..Poor Mum had 2 hearing aids..I blame myself...
