LOL at "herding cats"...................that's a classic.

That's right you did move. We are still organising paperwork to sell our last place too..talk about herding cats..try country Qld solicitors..bless them..

Eddie, I know some people say "take it one day at a time" but I remember saying to Tones who used to post on the old Wall that sometimes you need to take it half an hour at a time. He was such a lovely person and used to bring Italian cakes into my shop and kept in touch with me when I was living in Melbourne. I remember saying that to him when I went to visit him in Canberra and he bought me a Nick Cave poster from one of the galleries we went to. Just do small increments of what you need to do in a day and don't get down on yourself when you can't. I normally get up at 6am every single day but even I went down like a sack of potatoes on the weekend and just stayed in bed. Sometimes we just need to recharge, rest and recuperate.

Break the day down into smaller sections to get through it and it's not so overwhelming.

Well I was going to respond to voodoo mans post. But it has disappeared RT has quoted it so it is not totally dead. I think it was an honest and sincere post I admire the honesty.

Do you guys know who the Nelk Boys are? They had Caitlyn Jenner on their podcast and then played 9 hols of golf with her. I thought she came across as very down to earth and pretty funny. When she was Bruce she won a gold medal at the Olympics. Caitlyn is also against trans-women competing as biological women.

I was unaware of Caitlyn Jenner. How fascinating Jenner was a Decathlon Gold Mens winner known as Bruce Jenner in the Mens category who is now a woman. This thread is really becoming rich and informative in its content.

I missed the deleted thread that AW was referring to, so I'm not 100% on the specific debate he was referring to .
I assume it's not about whether your down on trans people in general, but the debate on how they can compete at sports?

I have a pretty good grasp on the difficulties trans-gender people have to endure, and wouldn't tolerate those who hate on them.
However, we can't open pandoras box when it comes to who qualifies to compete in womens sports.
                    It wouldn't be fair.

Agree Eddie, in the end our children have to make their own choices. So long as we’re always there for them and love them, that’s what matters.

Thanks Eddie and I hope you just continue to be kind to yourself daily. We all have the right to live calm, peaceful positive lives surrounded by those who are only with us for the greater good. It's ok to say goodbye to people, places and even objects which no longer serve us well. Say goodbye to the negative to allow the positive to flow.

There's a fair argument that transgender individuals who wish to compete in female sport create too much controversy to be considered role models.
For an excellent transgender role model I'd put forward Catherine McGregor .
She's intelligent, patient and very brave.

[QUOTE=Jacks Fur Coat; The loons have kept her in the news with their rabid attacks. Threatened by someone who is articulate, attractive and courageous. She has had death threats and had to move her family...its a sad mad world out there.

The truth is that she was/is a bigot. A religious bimbo who can't reconcile her brand of Christianity with Jesus'. Hopefully, the election has slowed the advance of right wing God botherers in the Party of the Right. The teal movement was a reaction to that religious climate denialism and to the general drift of the Libs rightward.

I'll always remember Pell on Q&A saying that he didn't fear for the Earth because God would save it.
