Actually had a cuppa this arvo. Dilmah extra strength tea bag, one sachet of raw sugar finished with a dollop of carnation milk light and creamy.

And I made sure I was on this forum at the same time. Maybe I'm one of the big six.

Sorry I worked a 60 hour work week this week..this is what happens when I leave the blokes alone for a few days...muddling through the music threads without my supervision...

as for tea, as some of you who know me very well know I have a well stocked kitchen of at least 15 varieties and I have at least 5 herbal ones in the mornings alone during winter..that's why I look 10 years younger than I really am..that and having no annoying men living with me to leave up the toilet seat..

I was drinking my Russian caravan tea earlier while reading the elections thread. I almost boycotted the tea because of the name but it isn't made in Russia or anything to do with it.

Well..........The forum said off topic chat, so I'm posting it here.

And SRV was every bit as ground breaking as Lennon and McCartney. I bet Paul would agree and Lennon especially so if he were still around.

Like MR, I'm not overly familiar with Stevie Ray Vaughan either but I did see an article about him recently in one of my music magazines from the UK which I read every weekend online through the library website. MOJO, Classic Rock and Classic Pop are excellent..the UK excels in these types of magazines. I used to buy Q magazine years ago as it came with a free CD and I have all that music loaded onto my iPod now.

I'm actually the forum's self appointed musical expert and I say go for it..post whatever you want when you want as long as it's within the forum guidelines . In fact, please start at least 10 new musical threads if you feel like it this week and I'll come back on the weekend to review your work.. It keeps the brain and the spirit fresh to discover other artists and their stories and struggles. It was actually quite awful reading about how he died in a helicopter crash, like so many other amazing artists, so let's make this thread about a tribute to another musician lost way too soon..there a lots of other threads for musicians no longer alive, so I'd be interested to come back on next week and read some intelligent and thoughtful opinions on Stevie's work..
So thank you and I will make an effort this week to learn more about him and listen to his music in between meetings this week (the joys of working full time from home)

And Andy, stop trying to stifle and suffocate the artistic freedom of others..it's very unattractive....people are like plants..we all have the right to breathe in fresh air and sunshine..

I'll drink to that right now..with some Orange Pekoe which I know Horrie likes..it's strong, robust, excellent flavour and very refreshing...unlike some on here..
