  • Stevie Ray Vaughan Tribute Thread Take 2

player 1 We will restart a new thread for you. I've only listened to a couple of songs so far but am very grateful for the recommendation. I love this one:

For everyone else, this thread is only for posting tributes to this particular music legend who died way too young in a helicopter crash in 1990.

Could you please post the URL too? For some reason, when I click on the video the screen just goes white on me. So when I post clips now, I add both to make sure. (It's my laptop, nothing to do with the way you post)

        Thank you.

                Two more bloody great axemen.

Here's another Eric Johnson instrumental. He actually won a grammy for it. His tone is phenomenal.

This song is about our centre wing pairing. Country

LOl..when I was really little, I had heard the expression 'dynamite axeman'. Probably on Countdown, The Monkees, Brady Bunch or The Partridge Family..the nuns at school asked us all what we wanted to be when we grew up..me and my pigtails and shiny shoes said " I want to be a dynamite axeman"..I think they thought I said axe murderer! Good thing we lived across the road..not far for poor Mum to come and collect me again...

                    Gary Moore..Wild Frontier entire album:

a song about guitars but I can only hear a piano.. I've had Alex Lloyd's version for 20 years..Here is Loudon Wainwright, father of Rufus and Martha, talented musicians in their own rights.

I first discovered Jeff Beck when I was around 4 or 5 years old thanks to an older cousin and older sisters. 50 years later, we are still sharing playlists between us with him on it. This one came up on my shuffle the other day.

People Get Ready with Rod Stewart on vocals:

By special request, I've been asked to bump this thread up. We are going to use this for guitar players (or dynamite axemen if you watched the same shows I did as a child)

Does anyone know how to change a thread title please? Someone has requested I start a guitarist thread but we can just use this one but I don't know how to edit the title. Thanks everyone.

Won't matter too much. Those who play will understand.
