Lovely sunny day here in Brisbane, wind has picked up and is keeping the humidity down. Just spent a couple of hours in the pool.

Would have been cheaper to just buy a fishing rod, get up early and enjoy the early light! At least it’s not stinking hot at that time of day.

Hopefully that will be me in a few weeks time up at Stuart's Point and Grassy Head with the cabin only a few metres away from the river.

Just hope the flight home is as peaceful , efficient and uneventful as the trip up, got through security no problems so just waiting for the flight which is scheduled on time so far. Going back more tired than when i came up, our friends that we stayed with spoiled us rotten, fed us , drove us around and really looked after us. Not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. Leaving nice weather here, spent a couple of hours in the pool this morning.

Don’t know if we can fit Bondi Beach in but we will be at the home of the mighty roosters for the Paul McCartney concert.

Not entirely travel related but a smart@rse colleague ALWAYS travels using Qantas' business class, brags about it (plus business class lounges) regularly and gets a heap of special treatment as he's a big spender.

Anyhow he's going on a month long world tour starting today and got a generic e-mail yesterday arvo to advise that a heap of his legs have been cancelled and/or downgraded to economy.

There may have been a little bit of a smirk on my face as I attempted to empathise with him.

I’ve travelled Qantas business class plenty of times and they are absolutely awful now. Over the past 20 years they have been left for dead by airlines like Singapore, Qatar and Emirates.

Should be fantastic MR. Some of my relos went to the Newie gig and were blown away by the band and how well PMac is still going. Are you making a weekend of it or just hit and run?

Just packing the car up for the trip north, Taree first port of call to visit the in laws then onto Dorrigo for a few days then onto Port Macquarie for 4 nights, then 2 nights at Smoky Cape lighthouse then 6 nights at Stuarts Point / Grassy Head, so glad to get out of Sydney and especially work at the moment which is being run by the peanuts gallery.

Business class on Japan airlines will be interesting next year. Yes there was a time where business class on Qantas was faultless and one of the world leaders but the airline is really on the nose now.
