I ended up leaving getting on the last coach to Inverness on a Sunday night when the plan was to get the 1pm coach but I met a couple of interesting Irish fellas who were fighter pilots and had a heavy session with them God knows how long I’d have stayed on Glasgow had I missed that last coach that night
Inverness was a weird and beautiful place Weird in that the town centre was full of young people on the streets pinned off their head on heroine But the scenery there and it’s surrounds were beautiful Make sure you drive around the highlands outside of Inverness It’s simply stunningWhen you trust your television

For us Inverness (with visit to Culloden), Isle of Skye, Glenfinnan, Fort William, Loch Lomond, Stirling, Edinburgh. Then on to York England by train and using the trains from then on.

Yeah looking at the tour we will be going through the highlands outside Inverness.
The few things i remember about my short trip to Scotland back in 1993 was must have been staying at a B&B in Perth our host took us to a little village called Methven as the person i was travelling with had grown up in Methven New Zealand. The B&B breakfast was amazing, al;ways happy when i have black pudding.
Seeing snow on Ben Nevis was amazing as was the country side driving towards Fort William, stayed at what was like a big manor house just outside Fort William and the host looked like Mr Bean.
Wandering around Urquhart Castle was amazing right on the loch.
Edinburgh was freezing.
Have photos from the trip in an album in storage, i should scan some and put the on computer.Last edited by horrie hastings; 03-06-2024, 08:02 PM.

I was glad on my way back down I came back for 2 nights and caught up with people at the hostel I stayed at as I left suddenly without telling people
Sometimes I wonder if I will ever go back to these places I’d always intended to but as I get older there are other places I haven’t been to that I’d like to see I think the only thing that will get me back is one of my best friends whom I grew up with as a kid lives in London So I do want to visit him there and from there who knows where I end up in UKWhen you trust your television

The big thing that was in when i was there was deep fried Mars Bars, still one thing i have never tried and i have no desire to try one either.
