The tour today was great and I thought I would be bored with crocodile spotting but no, so many of them and large and small. The Crocodile resort is great so far, decided to have a margarita, a shame its not only one nigjt.
Low humidity does make it a lot more bearable. I’m glad you’re having a great time.

    • Lovely morning here. Overcast and 19c. Training has been moved forward to this morning as it meant to be ugly this afternoon.

      • The sun came out eventually but it was a pretty dark day today.

Had a funeral today though. Quite sad as it was the mother of my 6 year old son's best friend (cancer). Won't say much more but she's young (30's) and basically got breast cancer... recovered... doctors refused to do further tests... then a couple of years ago she had headaches so (seeming like a loon - almost escorted out kinda thing) yelled at the doctor and demanded a brain scan. Doctor finally agreed to get the scan and they were like 'yeah you've got brain cancer that's spread from your previous breast cancer and it's been growing for at least 12 months'.

Probably shared too much about her personal stuff but it was really sad.

Oh and I feel like such a dunce! Funeral ended at ~2:55pm and I had to pick my son up from school. The hearse was taking forever to drive Way so my wife and I tried to sneak out. Don't ask me how but after me making 3 or 4 attempts to drive out the back stealthily, I ended up right in the middle of all the funeral vehicles and trying to do a right-hand turn against the grain of everybody else who was leaving. Yep... not my most successful attempt to sneak out the back.

That’s terrible ism. I hate cancer. I lost both my parents to it. It’s a hideous disease.

          • Beautiful day in Darwin, low 30s yesterday travelling around Litchfield national park, beautiful breeze kept the temperature at a nice level, swimming in two water holes and under water falls was just beautiful, magic place as was Kakadu. Looking great outside now, heading to Parap markets shortly. This break especially yesterday is making my decision to retire so much easier.

ism22, sorry to hear, that is a very sad story.

Not sure how long it will last though but will enjoy it while we can.

                    • Today was another rather warm one at 32c.

The eldest had to do a full 3.5 hr training session in the blaring sun wearing full pads in prep for his two upcoming pre season scrimmages next week.

Went through a fair bit of Gatorade today!

                        • Bloody rain had delayed the start of the race by 2 hours!

Looks like I will enjoyed my dinner of lemongrass chicken while watching the race this evening.

                              Sounds perfect up there.

We got smashed here this arvo as well. Eating fried Oreos and funnel cakes at the county fair just isn’t the same in the rain.
