It’s been like that for a while hasn’t it. But the thought of the hottest summer on record coming our way fills me with dread.

Was on the Gold Coast for a while and your fears may be on the money A couple of days last week a fierce nor Easter was blowing down the beaches in the morning An old guy told me the first year I moved there these type of winds in July meant hotter weather was coming soon and it would be a hot summer He was right on both
counts back then and we’ve got this weather down our way a week later Id say a hot weather is imminent

Well that just confirms my gut feeling then and I’m not looking forward to it. I hate anything over 30 and my garden does too so it will be a pain to look after.

        • Beautiful and sunny down at the Quay for the Bastille festival but a strong breeze blowing up Loftus St. Lots of lovely French delicacies available and some not so French ones. Going back for seconds shortly.

          • I cannot believe how warm it is here today for July. I don’t even need my jacket when out and about. It’s a beautiful sunny and warm 16 degrees.

When i did the Europe trip in 2000 when we got back to Sydney we had a couple of days where it hit 23 c in July, was actually warmer than most days in London and the UK.
Back to normal transmission today though 16 c and has already rained, suppose to get to 18 c .

Yes that’s why it’s so packed with tourists in the UK in July and August and why we are choosing the shoulder season and September instead. It does make me worry about the weather though.

As for today, it’s another beautiful winter’s day. Not quite as warm as yesterday but still a lovely 14 and no wind.

The 2000 trip we went in late May as i remember being in the UK while the French Open was on ( Mary Peirce won ) and also in London when the Queens club tournament was which was mid to late June ( we had gone to a couple of places in Europe then back to the UK in between ) the weather in the UK was ok when we were there but it was a bit like Melbourne with four seasons in one day, i just remember when we got back to Sydney sometime in July we had a run of really warmish days around 23 c and it felt warmer than some ( actually most ) of the days in London.

Good lad! Burn off some of last nights brewskies You were rather "chatty"....But, credit where its due, you largely didn't play the man or hunt in packs. A promising start to the parole period.

I was actually looking at the average temp statistics by month for London / Yorkshire / Scotland and was shocked at how low they actually are! Like for Scotland the average high in September is only 16 and London 18. That’s the first month of Autumn and equivalent to March here! We’re spoilt for beautiful sunshine here in Aus.

Ive been sober since I returned from QLD and will probably remain so for some time. Now unlike you Jaxxx I dont need a brewskie as you put it to be chatty on here or anyhwere else for that matter. I think it may be a foreign concept for you but I am very adapt at socialising sober. Not only should you try it but perhaps an extended break from the booze would be very beneficial for you as it may help you gain some better perspective

Now stop trying to derail this thread like you did Eddies music thread not so long ago

Now back on topic Im hearing tomorrow will be a much nicer day than today
