Have been wiping down the shutters bit by bit but will do it properly once it is warmer. My leather jacket which i hang on the back of the bedroom door has mildew on it too. I have never seen it so bad as this year.

Lol, i rented a place many many years ago which was similar to how mightyrooster described her old rental place and i had plenty of damp rid around the place. Our place is generally very airy and this is only the second time ( the last was last year ) that i have had mildew on my leather jacket and this year the rain has been abnormal. I suppose one wouldn't go a stray in the wardrobe where all the jackets hang, i remember seeing about a month or so ago Bunnings and other hardware stores and supermarkets had sold out of damp rid.

Wish I knew about this stuff 30 years ago! It would have come in handy in my old rental flat.

It sounds like it's just the massive amount of rain you guys (and most of the east coast) have been experiencing for ages now. I do feel for you as I remember that old place of mine and I couldn't wait to save up a deposit for my own home. It was a never ending process of cleaning and using exit mould etc, which also stank the place out with bleach only for the mildew / mould to return about a month later.

Love it but I’m in the ‘country’ right now.

I also like freshwater fishing which will be my deal next week!

Overcast day here today. Think it rained last night which means she’s going to be a bit steamy today.

What a day here! Beautiful cool morning. Sunny and patchy cloud with a slight breeze and clean, beautiful air.

Hope the water at the lake is not too cold when we get there today. Really looking forward to a swim.

Was a beautiful day yesterday in Sydney, sat for a while on the rooftop bar area in the Noble Stand at the SCG before the Swans game. gathering in the beautiful warm sun with no wind, got quite cool in the afternoon though later in the stands and on the way home. Actually warmer today but very dull and over cast., just had a quick walk around Marrickville but as AW said it was a cold morning so had a nice sleep in.

Had a friend drop in today before we went out and he had just come back from Canberra yesterday and said it was freezing. Saw the Santa Speedo shuffle on the news this morning and i think the person doing the interview said it was point 9 of a degree then and with the wind chill it was -5

Santa Speedo shuffle? What an incredible commitment from the participants on a day like today!
