Now back on topic It’s a lovely sunny day outside but will be having a quiet a day here as I’ve caught a bit too much sun over the last few days

Tonight I will have to endure the joy of dinner with group young teenage girls as it is my Daughters birthday and I’m taking them out

It’s going to be a very hot - too hot for my liking - 36 degrees today. I don’t think we’ve had a day like this since the horrible bushfires 3 years ago. Or was it 4 years ago! I’ve lost track as it’s been wet, mild summers for a few years now.

I have both those colours in my house. Antique on the walls and vivid on the trims, but am changing the doors and trim to Taubmans Brilliant white which is similar to vivid. But enough paint talk. We need to start a home reno thread lol.

It makes sense to paint everything at once then it all flows throughout the house. Of course that also means extra work unfortunately. I really don’t like trying to choose paint colours as I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to these things and can be really indecisive. Trying to choose a white is ridiculous. Who would have thought there could be so many shades of white!

Yes tried three different whites, one was antique white, natural white and whisper white. The bedrooms currently Barrister white and the lounge room and kitchen are Magnolia.The reason why we originaly thought of just doing the bedrooms and the bathroom was that were planning on getting a new kitchen at some stage so was going to hold back on the other rooms till then but the new kitchen could be a few years away so may as well do it all at once.

Antique white was one of the colours splashed on the bedroom and lounge room wall at the moment, still haven't decided on a colour yet.

Air conditioning really struggling at work today, so yucky and horrible. Home now and there is distant thunder rumbles, hope we get a good storm.

No such thing as a "good" storm imho. Maybe they at least cool things down .

We got a huge mother out in the wild west today to bust the awful heat. Strong strong winds, heavy rain and nasty lightning to boot! Suspect there would be some pretty widespread damage across the burbs. It likely hit the coastal areas too.

I was walking back from the track to Parramatta station and the headwind gusts bringing the storm across were huge. I literally had to hold on to something to not get blown away and I'm around the 90kg mark. Never been out in such a strong wind before. Talk about blow a dog off a chain!

By a good storm i meant when you can lie in bed and hear the distant rumble of thunder at night, love that. Got to admit the storm this arvo / evening was a strange one, i was watching the lorikeets feeding in the bottle brush outside the bedroom window and you could see the clouds rolling in like a huge wave, by the time they hit around home they had sort of broken up, it was strange, cloud and flicks of clear sky in between, looked like it had missed us completely then a few spots of rain and then nothing for a few minutes and then suddenly the wind hit like a cyclone, watched the palm tree next door bend in a position i have never seen, then the wind died off but had thunder and rain but you could see the orange sunset south west, then there was quite a bit of lightning around 8pm even with the clear orange glow south west, one of the weirdest weather patterns i have ever seen.

Ah that makes sense. Good luck with trying to find a white. I think it’s the most difficult ‘colour’ to choose with the number of options available. It’s so confusing.

What a stunning morning beach side Sun shining brightly water is glistening and beautiful in Decided to get out early and enjoy the day as we have rain predicted later Whilst at this stage there is no sign of it, in Sydney that doesn’t take long too change
