Will update you when we are back. It's going to be funny packing mostly summer clothes while it is still cold here. Not so worried about the humidity, it's going to be the flies and possibly the mozzies im not looking forward to.

I think it was perfect timing for such a thread

Watching the 150th Open Championship at St. Andrews on television made me realize how much I want to do that trip.

Didn't think about flies and mozzies. We did a trip to Cairns in the middle of Canberra's winter one year - July - the contrast was crazy. When we went on a tour the guide was claiming they were currently going through a cold snap. It was a beautiful 27 degrees!

Been to NZ 4 times and would go back in a heartbeat. Our next trip there will definitely be in a motor home.
No motor home but we are hiring a car to get around from place to place. We went to the South Island in 2018 and the scenery was stunning. We always planned to go back to do the North Island and then Covid happened.

Had an ex who was a Kiwi so that's why I went a few times. Both islands are great but South Island is stunning.
Yes the South Island was just amazing. Absolutely beautiful scenery. The mountains, the greenery, the lakes.

Nice part of the world, I like that end of the goldy near Tweed and up around Main Beach is also a favourite spot of mine.

South Island is definitely more beautiful however the north has some amazing sites and natural activities/wonders.

I love Cairns and the surrounds. I don’t like the hippie tourists tho. They are smelly.

Not even a choice for me. Thailand all the way!

Lovely people, awesome scenery/cultural destinations and so easy to travel to other places like Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.
