Yes, a package just arrived for me, an early birthday present
Probably the best birthday present I've ever got.
A signed Roosters jersey, thoughtfully packed with a keyring and a lovely card
I'm not sure I deserve it but I'm very grateful.
There's a framing place in town, so I'm gonna frame it and hang it in pride of place in my poolroom.
It's gonna take awhile for me to identify the signatures on it, but I'll endeavour to do so.

This makes me very happy as well and I'm glad it arrived overnight. I think that one was from the 2010 grand final team (the year should be stitched on the jersey somewhere) and so the signatures were from the likes of Todd Carney, Braith, Jake, Mini etc. It was numbered in a series so that should be on there too.

I'm glad you liked the card too and it's from an Australian artist based in South Australia who loves to paint roosters.

I hope you enjoy looking at it in good health and cheers to another year of happiness, peace and wellbeing.

The trip's going well (always too fast though). I could happily retire in small-town Japan if that's what ends up happening.

Agreed there's something special about this forum, particularly in a Web 2.0 world where social media has become the norm. It feels like everybody has a place here.

I had a cup in the afternoon and it revived me enough to stay awake past 9pm so I could watch the game.

Last night I sat at the dining room table with a glass of bourbon and the jersey in an attempt to figure out some of these signatures.
I have identified SKD and JWH in the top left corner.
I also found Leilua, Carney and Friend.
Some of them are real difficult.
Gotta say its pretty unreal that JWH is still playing after all these years. Not bad for a prop.

Some of them are very hard to read aren't they? Mini should be in there somewhere and also Braith. Yes, JWH is still pretty fit and powerful on the field. I met him once at Waverley Bowling club and he is such a lovely person.
