Too right JB. There are plenty of variations but like most things, keeping it simple is the key.

My other favourite sandwich is the good old Reuben which oddly enough is best from a chain restaurant over here. Arbys Reubens are awesome!

Have this van at a petrol st just down the road at Tempe which does Philly cheese steaks but haven't tried it yet as i mainly just head on a bit further to Harry's at Tempe.

Love Harry’s. It’s always our go to before a home game. Drive up from Canberra, stop by the waterfront at Woolloomooloo for a Tiger and a chilli dog then into the ground for the game. Double win for us!

Haven't been to Harrys at Woolloomooloo for a while but its handy having one close by at Tempe, i always get a hot dog with mushy peas, cheese sauce and tomato sauce. Will sometimes get a pie after that or of late just been getting a sausage roll with tomato sauce.

Speaking of burgers, had one today at Azure cafe, the one that services the members pool and gym at the new stadium, only second day it has been opened, got the beef burger which had caramelised onion, bacon, cheese and bbq sauce on it, usually i dont' go for a burger with bacon on it and also bbq sauce but this one was damm tasty so would probably order it again.

Chez Kimchi's definitely the business. I always get their kimchee pancake. My wife likes the 'snow chicken' at this place we go to in Dicko. However, I can't recall the name. There's also Korean/Japanese place (Korean-run but does an okay Japanese curry & chicken katsu) near Kippax that goes alright.
Have you tried “the hungry brown cow” up at your end of the woods? Apparently do very good burgers and are known for their sugar laden biscuits, think they are setting up a food truck soon too.

Havnt tried that one but just around the corner in Kippsx is BZ Burger. Give it a shot. The fried chicken burgers are insane.

Nothing beats a Maccas 1/4 pounder with chips, a coke and one of them freebie glasses

That or a happy meal with a cheeseburger (not an 'unhappy meal' with yoghurt, apple pieces and a water).

I think I’ve had Maccas only once in the last 6 months. It was a roadie on the way back from Canada.

                      It’s nasty as shit.

Last night i craving for a burger from a grubby take away down the road next to the St Peters fruit shop, not the best burgers but passable, usually order a cheese burger with pineapple and couple of greasy scallops , was thinking about it for lunch today but that feeling quickly passed as there are plenty of nice left overs in the fridge.

Gotta have pineapple on a burger.

Mmmmmmmm…. Greasy scallops! Must put that on the must have list for my Xmas holiday vacay back home!

I sometime get a burger from the take away down the road when I finish work early on Wednesday and eithet order 3 scallops with it or a battered sav , just a bit of comfort food, i have definately had better burgers but they are cheap and fill the bill for lunch straight after i finish work. Potato Scallops and battered sav are just ok but just a great escape for a once off lunch every now and then.

Even though i haven't been there for a while there is a takeaway calked Andy's at Keeymagh and I like their potato scallops as they seem hand made and they aren't greasy, their burgers look good there but i havent tried a burger there yet only scallops and chips as it was a good place I could get to within 5km during lockdown and feel like you were outside with a bit of room.

Man after my own heart mate.

Bsavs and scallops on the side of a corner takeaway shop burger are the best. It’s hard to ruin them and unless the scallops are the processed ones, they are always good!

Went to a place in Page the other night called Burger Villains.

Still digesting what went down but they got me a massive burger with fried chicken, a beef patty, bacon and pickles (in-line with my tactic of always ordering the biggest, greasiest burger).

It was solid but I think I'll go for something a bit lighter next time around.
