A truly amazing lady.
If only some of that goodwill and integrity resided in our other leaders, the joint would be in such a better place.
RIP Your Majesty.. I did mention on here earlier this year that I don't know of anyone else who has provided 70 years of such dedicated service. My dad had only wonderful things to say about the English when he served as a soldier in WWII. The royal family have a deep love and appreciation of Australia and Australians also. Zara met her husband here and they regularly mention how much they missed coming for the Magic Millions during Covid, Harry with the Invictus Games here in 2018 and Princess Anne recently coming to open the Royal Easter Show as her husband has family affected by the floods in Lismore. Their deep love of farming and the environment is from genuine experiences.
One of my favourite comments of hers was to Brian May.."Oh, you are the one who made all that noise on my roof!"

Thanks for sharing RWB...a special moment for your family, in many ways.
One of my uncles was a police officer and met Queen Elizabeth when she awarded him a British Empire Medal for rescuing a family when their car fell into a river in Queensland. That was back in the 1950's.
He was also the one to teach me how to drive and also trained Mal Meninga at the academy...he had more than earned the medal by then..
