I think you need to be a member But good luck Pablo you never know your luck. We have decided we will have a BBQ and drink lots of beer at home. Still buzzing here from that game this evening an absolute thriller Lost count of the amount of times I said Fcuk in those last three minutes thinking Collingwood were going to get that final goal. Normally I’m told to calm down but not a word said

I’m not AFL mad as such. But love ❤️ the Swans I was at their first ever match at SCG in 1982 against Melbourne.

I only really watch the finals, but the other half is a mad Richmond fan and the rest of his family are full on Collingwood or Tigers. I followed the Hawks from a young age but really like the Swans too. It was a great game tonight and I thought Collingwood was going to win in the dying seconds there. That’s pretty awesome seeing the Swans first ever game in Sydney.

Yep definitely have to be a member, better half has let the Swans membership slip the last couple of years but have been to three AFL Grand Finals, 2005, 2006 and 2012. All amazing, 2005 was special as the first time in almost a million years for the Swans, 2006 was heartbreaking losing by 1 pt but 2012 was my favourite, the momentum of the game just swung backwards and forwards for the entire game, absolute magic game. Seeing 3 will do me but so glad i got to go tonight and watch the Swans live hold on at the death against a desperate Pies team.

I went to the 1996 GF with my boss at the time who was a member We we’re looking good till Carey took over late in the 2nd and throughout the 3rd 1/4

I kept saying in that 3rd 1/4 if we get to 100 we are safe. They will come hard late but won’t catch us

Do you know in the second quarter who was the guy whom when we were 21 up who could easily have given up a point by taking the ball over the goals but took the risky option by not doing it and instead saved a point. The commentators bagged him saying that was risky snd a big unnecessary when you are up by 21 why wouldn’t you concede the point. I remember saying what a fwit the commentator was and saying that point saved could be handy later on.

                    Just import them.

                    That's what I do.

You will need your own cargo plane, airstrip and a lot of money to pay off government officials, customs etc.

Turns out you have to be a gold member and even then you go into a ballot. ****. Even if you have silver or bronze you have no real chance.

Im not gold, silver or bronze.

Anyway I'll see if I can do Ebay or something. Love to go to watch the Swans in a Grand Final.

I am not confident against Geelong (they are damm good) but you never know!

The Prelim was amazing and beating Collingwood is great.

Now the Roosters are out (which is a joke) my attention goes to the Swans.

Thanks for your replies everyone. I'll keep searching.

I went to the 1996 preliminary final when Lockett kicked the behind after the siren to win but didn't get a chance to go to the Grand Final that year.

Funny, when the Swans kicked the first behind to go up 1-0 i quipped to the group i was with that could be the winning point. Later in the game, it must of been the third quarter as Collingwood were kicking to the end where were sitting, Swans were probably still ahead by about 20 pts and Dane Rampe desperately saved what could have been a behind, i was just so amazed to the desperation to save the point when normally you would see in a club game they would have been happy to let the ball go through, i said to the better half at the time that desperation is amazing, they don't even want to concede a point, to me that play sticks in mind as the play that was a pivotal part in saving the game.

Recorded the game so going to have a look at it later in more detail, so glad i went to see the game live as i had to hobble there on one leg, decided i didn't want to miss another piece of history.

Edit, it was Tom McCartin who stopped the ball being a behind not Dame Rampe and Collingwood did score not long after but the desperation to stop the point typified why the
                        Swans won in the end.

Its always been a mad huddle to get Grand Final tickets even for members and the way to get them had also changed over the years. I remember in 2005 you had to line to even get a ticket to go into the ballot so you weren't even guaranteed of getting a ticket even being in the first queue, amazingly we got tickets, when we received them they said restricted viewing so was a bit peed off about it but when we got the ground, it was because we were sitting behind the Swans cheer squad so really there was no restricted view, they were perfect seats. 2006 was much easier getting tickets but were up in the bleachers. 2012 mates who were gold members were going over seas so they let us use their membership code so it was easy getting seats again and fairly decent seats in the silver category, to me that was the most amazing game to be at, the momentum swings were amazing. Didn't bother even thinking about tickets for 2014 as we were overseas and only got back the day before the GF, sad weekend that was was as got back into Sydney from the US Friday morning then watch Souths knock the Roosters out in the prelim and then the Swans get smashed the next day. 2016 as had the most basic membership so no chance of getting tickets even though we could have probably got access to other memberships to go. Happy to have seen 3 AFL Grand Finals live so that will do me.

I was there for that game. What a game and what a player Lockett was.

Yes I remember that one That was the one where they kicked from a long way out and it looked like it would roll in for a goal but the ball turned and then it was stopped before it went in for a point There was another in the second 1/4 I remember it as it was the way Collingwood were running in the last 1/4 The player was under real pressure but didn’t run it on for a behind and played out.
