    [QUOTE=Andrew Walker;

    No you tried to pass the work off as your own You are a plagiarist. Now what are you going to do, cane me ? expel me ? I know how about writing a letter to my deceased Parents. When I tapped in to the spirit world on Wednesday, both were very amused with my recent writings. My Father really liked this one

    There was a great man named Frank
    Who once drove a tank
    he was a hard worker
    and not a shirker
    who left a lot of money in the bank

    You are lowering the tone Walker, sitting up the back sniggering with your oafish mates and making fun of everything that's decent in life.

    How do you know that the work is not my own or that I was handsomely rewarded by the producers of "Breaker"?

      Because my dear friend You have such an intellectual ego you would have said this the moment the word plagiarism was mentioned. You thought you could post it as your own and nobody would be any the wiser. But Eddie whom you take great joy in ridiculing was onto it. My works may be frivolous in your eyes but at least they are my own original works. Here is another in honour of a special person whom has given me permission to post this here.

      There was a young girl named Njordi
      who liked to be very very naughty
      her parents had enough
      when she got up the duff
      but she still runs around all haughty

      PS it’s all fun and games PC don’t sweat the small stuff

          Hey Dr............don't you like that old saying?
          I wonder what you teach? and very pleased to hear you're kicking ass financially.

          Yep, I'm still on centrelink, and probably will be for life. Athough I'll never achieve millionaire status, I make sure I pay the electricity bills so I can use the computer to communicate with wonderful people like yourself.

              Your dole budging mate is the one who shat on teachers. If a teacher can't, what hope for a dole bludger right?

                There was a good man named Horrie Hastings
                whose team in the grand final copped an absolute pasting
                he was in shock and awe
                at the final score
                but next years grand final is the Swans for the taking

                  ILL health can strike any of us, any time. Nothing to do with bludging.

                  Today's teachers are a product of a very politicised higher education system, so sometimes they deserve a shat or two.

                      Gentlemen....gentlemen....this is a poetry appreciation thread not a prosperity competition nor a political pulpit and Jax, please practice. what you preach re thread derailment,

                      And you're getting the wrong message Andy, I'm havin' a lend son, not sweating anything - pick it up and run with it - if you could be bothered that is.

                      Here's another from the Romanic school, a sonnet by Percy Bysshe Shelley which illustrates the Romantics' love of myth and legend. Remember that the Romantics cited Imagination as the dimension which was unacknowledged by science and which made humanity special. The poem also speaks to another Romantic theme, that of impermanence - nothing is forever, change is the only constant, I see the declining American Empire in it and the destruction that that is leading us into

                      Ozymandias

                      BY PERCY BYSSHE SHELLEY

                      I met a traveller from an antique land,

                      Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone

                      Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,

                      Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,

                      And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,

                      Tell that its sculptor well those passions read

                      Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,

                      The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;

                      And on the pedestal, these words appear:

                      My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;

                      Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!

                      Nothing beside remains. Round the decay

                      Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare

                      The lone and level sands stretch far away.”

                        There was a fat rabbit called Trell
                        Along with Cody,stumbled and fell
                        Another year of premiership hell

                          I must admit I have come across some truly pathetic losers who are teachers including a pedophile that had been on the run for 8 years. But saying those who can do and those who can't teach is idiotic. I think those who can work and those who can't get on the dole.

                            Of course it's idiotic Voodoo and it's fascist to boot. The Nazis purged the teaching profession very early in the piece on the grounds that teachers were part of a "very politicised education system".

                            I agree, too, that these days there are plenty of duds given the huge lowering of the ATAR needed to gain qualification but by and large and particularly in Maths and Science, staff are well qualified and, from what I've witnessed, good at he job.
                            On the other hand, I've been in staff rooms where Woman's Day, No Idea and Look litter the coffee table and the talk at lunch time is often about babies and reality shows. Never saw/heard that back in the day though, to be fair, I spent most recesses and lunch breaks caning people.

                            My thinking was "If you're going to disrupt a process that decent working people rely on to provide the best education possible for their children, you're gonna bear as much discomfort as I can provide", These days the serial pest has licence until he's (they're always male) 17.They are un teachable having turned it up some time in primary school as you might if the house that you live in has no books, reality TV is a staple and your parents post idiocy on web sites that they subscribe to. They have that excuse but they cost millions in the time and effort expended on them.

                              There was an old man named PC
                              who posted in away he thought nobody would see
                              he was cut down to size
                              when he was found to plagiarise
                              by the man he thought simple in Eddie

                                Actually Eddie is on disability not the dole so you shouldn't make fun of those less fortunate in ill health. Millionaire who cares he might be loaded with money means nothing. The saying about teachers is old he didn't invent it. Look at all the lawyer jokes its in fun.
