[QUOTE=mightyrooster; We need some Shakespeare. This is a sonnet and I remember that a sonnet has 14 lines and the last two lines are called a couplet. Hope I pass the test........
Good contribution MR. There are different types of Sonnets but, yes, all have 14 lines and are divided into 2 stanzas, the Octet, the first 8 lines sets the scene and the final 6 lines, the Sestet provide a resolution. Your choice is a Shakespearian form of the sonnet but not all sonnets are about romantic love.
This one always reminds me that life is, in essence, male and female and in terms of purpose, procreation is the only reason for individual existence as it is with all living organisms. All else in human terms is contrived and, really, non essential but material progress has certainly made life a lot easier to bear while we go about the sex.
"Shall I Compare Thee" is part of another artificial human inclination, that of infusing the basic drive with beauty. The truth that that is just another embellishment can be seen in a quick walk around any shopping mall.

You didn't say what you supposedly teach, is it stupidity?
Weird that you get all upset about an old saying. There's good and bad in all professions....................I'm guessing from your carry on that you represent the bad.

There was a good lady named MR
Whom I think is an absolute star
she is a rare find
as she is always kind
I would never push her too far

they can bend it all they want

Because I like nature I thought I would share a poem for all to reflect on about a tree
Trees
BY JOYCE KILMER
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
When you trust your television
what you get is what you got
Cause when they own the information
they can bend it all they want

You claim to be a teacher, I could teach you a thing or two.
You've demonstrated an inability to learn from your mistakes, which is the height of stupidity.
I feel sorry for your students...................if you've actually got any.
