That's rich coming from an educator who seemingly has no idea about what happened to China in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It was colonised first by the British whose "treaties" granted all manner of "concessions" to other European imperialists. The USA prevented full scale colonisation by insisting on "Open Door" in 1900. It's motive is to be found in Carnegie's "Iron Law" which I've discussed previously and which decreed open fields with fair competition to be in the best interests of American industry. Voods for your edification.. Glebe High,, a comprehensive State high school, ceased to exist in the early 2000s becoming a senior high school (0nly Years 11 & 12). At the time it was rebadged as Blackwattle Bay after the body of water on which it stands. Balmain and Leichhardt Junior High schools feed into it for the senior years.

* Pok Fu Lam is high up, the reservoir is situated there, so hardly right next door to Central which is at sea level. My memory from 30 years ago was a 10-15 minute bus ride to downtown.
