Anti-depressants certainly can be little more than placebos in some cases, but when they're not, the side affects can be a lot worse than any benefits.
thoughts with you. my uncle was a manic-depressive and my grandfather on the other side spent time in callan park. there aren't any families that don't have something going on. but we've always got the roosters ...

Unfortunately most doctors these days just want to pump drugs into your body without even the slightest hesitation.

Alternative or Natural treatments are hardly ever considered & are frowned upon. Your Kidneys & Liver can cop only so much until they start to not function properly.

Depending on the severity of your ailment there's always other options.

Think most people have woken up to the vaccine con now. They just approved a 4th/5th shot now, ridiculous.

i'm sceptical of the big pharmaceutical companies because it's good to be sceptical of all medical advice and because part of their purpose is to make money but i'm not paranoid about them. it's in their finanncial and reputational interest for them to produce stuff that works. case by case basis

They all fell over themselves to be the first to have a vaccine available to the public.

A rushed race for profits. Imagine the safety checks that were followed, not.

Well you're both right to a point but I do disagree with the rejection of vaccination.

I was a poster boy for ageing. Devilishly handsome in a maturing Paul Newman sort of way, impressive physique from my years in the Second Row and tough as the proverbial. Then I fell from a ladder, tore the shoulder badly, broke the wrist. Somehow the immune system went haywire and then 5 years of PMR (stiffness in all of the joints), My impression of the effective use of pharmaceuticals is a positive one accepting that mine was not as serious or as difficult to treat as a lot are. Think I'd rather be with 'em than without 'em in a clutch,

I'm sorry to hear that Eddie has been so unwell and so unnecessarily unwell, It's all our worst nightmare being misdiagnosed or ill informed, You've gotta be on it.

My long time GP was a jewish fella in Waverley, Adam Gershwind. The place was lino and cheap panelling, no appointments, Adam in baggy army shorts with brces rushing to and fro. He took care of everything that he had you down to get and probably extras. Every appointment was a thorough check up and detailed recording. And he bulk billed which is our heritage. Rich and poor.

I'm about to sack the bloke who took his place when Adam retired because he ann I sospect most others, are not proactive. You have to ask him for things.

Good to see different views can be discussed without name calling & finger pointing.

I personally don't see anything great about a vaccine that doesn't stop you catching & spreading the virus. Also to be told you need it injected every 3 months or so for it to be effective.

Not to mention the health problems it has given some people.

Agree somewhat but not having it has given many people health issues . Like dead

So has having it. In fact in NSW over the last 6 months the more shots one has the more hospitalised and dead. All this is or was readily available but it looked so bad NSW health stopped reporting on vaccination status/number of shots of the dead and hospitalised a few weeks ago. I did though a few months back put some of the weekly figures up on here. The real eye opener was the weekly figures of zero or next to zero deaths or hospitalisation of those who chose not to take this mrna/vaccine

No doubt it has helped certain sections of the population from terrible illness & death but the real truth & stats will never be known about all this. There were people who were vaxed to their eye balls & unfortunately still ended up dead.

We can all only go off personal experience with our views & mine aren't that pleasant with what it has done to two of my relatives.
