With a survival rate of 99.96% & currently 0.1% of people in intensive care from covid there's not much to fear. Live life without fear.
some people might ask if the survival rate is high because everyone's had a couple of jabs but i won't.
but yeah, it's been 5 or 6. i had the last one in october. i had cancer 10 years ago so can get them every 6 months.

Those numbers are thanks to people being vaccinated.

        You’re welcome!

You may well have had the issue no matter what as it is in your genes but would it have occurred when it did if it wasn't for covid or the vaccine? It may not have happened for several years? Who knows. Another example, my son has had some serious skin issues over the past 18 months. Then he got a bad bout of covid. He has also had 3 jabs. Since he got covid the skin issues have gone into some kind of slight remission. Surely this is not a coincidence?
Hi MR , that would be great re if your sons skin condition has improved because of vaccine or covid itself, it is all very subjective though isn't it, you hear of people with all sorts of ailments since either having covid or having the jab but no one will ever know whether it is the after effects of either or just something the person would have got regardless.

As for my clots in my leg, the leg where i got them i have had very bad visible veins in that leg for many years, i did ask my doctor many years ago whether it was worth having surgery to get rid of them or whether there was a possibility of having some sort of laser surgery, he didn't think it was worth it at the time but did think laser surgery might help later on, anyway the leg had been achy on and off for years so i suppose the warning signs were already there. Have an appointment late March with the specialist again and it cant come quick enough, despite my leg feeling alright for a while and the swelling going right down i'm back to feeling the old aches around the veins and they are looking a bit angry again, the professor i'm seeing is one of the leading vascular specialist in Australia so hopefully his judgement this visit will bring more answers.

That doesn’t sound good Horrie. I hope you’re not about to get clots in your leg again given it seems to be following a similar pattern as last time. At least you should be able to recognise the signs now and get yourself to your GP or hospital if the worse happens before your specialist appointment. Just make sure you stay on top of it. My son’s GP thinks he has a type of psoriasis which is an auto immune condition so we are thinking when he had Covid his body was too busy trying to fight off the virus so it temporarily stopped attacking his skin cells, He’s been waiting about 8 months to get in to see a dermatologist and his first appointment is coming up soon so it will be interesting to see what she says.

Hi mate. Thanks for your concern. Just beginning the fight of our lives. Can’t help the hand that you are dealt in life. All you can do is ask for another card and bet big!

As for someone’s wife being a doc, I’m not sure I would have faith asking a doc who’s own partner can’t distinguish male from female.

Apologies to RT if I’m saying too much here. I’m pretty sure it’s not RT but someone very close to him. I will let RT confirm or elaborate further if he wishes. I just hope they can beat it

                          Thanks mate.

Andy is right. It’s not me but my wife.

I say the fight if our lives because whatever she goes through, I’m there every step. This changes absolutely everything in our little world.

Thanks for the positive thoughts everyone. I might have to drop the act for now as I’ve got far more pressing issues to deal with.

                          Love to you all.

I hope we can be as lucky. I don’t go a single day without her by my side. Don’t know how to live without her.

I like your new auto signature Renty as I’ve had far too much experience with that disgusting disease recently, losing too many people to it. I do hope you have a positive outcome with your battle ahead and stay strong. All the best.
