Killed by another homosexual. Their sexuality needs not to be mentioned.

As mentioned before, do they say a ‘straight’ person is murdered if they are killed by another person? No, so why do we have to bring up that a person is gay when they die?

Oh Renty you are like a dog with a bone. I’ll have another try. Should they just leave names and genders out altogether then? Persons A and B were murdered by policeman Joe Killer because he was infatuated with person A and became jealous of that person’s new relationship with person B? With alleged mushroom killer lady, they explained she allegedly tried to murder her ex husband (so a heterosexual relationship gone bad) several times and failed but did allegedly succeed in poisoning some of his relatives, not hers! So it must have been a heterosexual relationship gone very bad. The media and police gave coverage to all of those details in order to explain the context and motive around the murders. No different to the murder case of the gay couple. I’m really not sure what more I can say.

        Much better MR.

I think you see my point.

Did they ever report that the shroom killer was straight or gay? Does it even matter? A lunatic yes. Gay, straight, they/them, totally irrelevant.

Whatever you say Renty. And I thought debating Paddo was hard.

I'm not anti Mardi Gras but I do get tired of all that embarrassing attention seeking and not all of it from the marchers. The aftermath can be most annoying around where I live which is off Oxford and a few hundred metres up the hill towards the main strip. Every year we get hordes of "revellers" vandalising street furniture, littering like you wouldn't believe, bending street signs, pissing in the streets, lanes and shop fronts and other generally destructive and anti social yahoo behaviour. This year someone rolled an empty beer keg from the Unicorn Hotel down the hill at about 4am. Bouncing off parked cars and rattling along guided by some fool, it woke the whole street.

However, the thing that completely turned me off was a sight years back when cars could still park around Taylors Square. To improve their vantage point, hundreds of gawkers climbed onto the roofs people's cars. When the owners came back from dinner they would have seen their car squashed completely roof and bonnet. To me, Mardi is yet another affirmation of the arrant stupidity and mindlessness of our masses.

Sad state of affairs all round and no one deserves to a victim of domestic violence.
Maybe not Horrie, like Spencer Leniu we haven't got the whole story. Was it a crime of passion? Their friends say that the copper wasn't a former partner or anything like that. Maybe dated (no pun intended) once or twice.

I was thinking drugs on the eve of the party, money owed, that sort of thing. Anyway, well see no doubt.

The other thing is that the ban on police was less about the murders than it was about Police neglect of the gay hate murders and the hearings that excoriated the coppers. The media put the more dramatic spin on things as usual.
