Where does Australia go from here?

In the attempt to reach net zero emissions, our overall reliance of the export of coal and oil/gas will diminish and with that the greater wealth of the nation and its populace. These two resources contribute approx $280b combined annually to the coffers of the nation.

    How will we replace that?

Or, we could just rely on our $160b worth of iron ore exports. Oh wait, as Nine Entertainment tells us, we are at war with China. So I guess that’ll diminish too. No more gow gees I spose.

Our next largest export is gold/metal ($27b) and grain ($26b). That’ll help.

Ahh, wait.. I know! Education will save us. We’ll be the university for the world, or at at least Asia. That’ll help save the housing bubble too.

Are there any teachers out there to save us?

I think he's told a lot of lies to get elected. I wouldn't hold my breath on the trains being built in Sydney.
Both parties are guilty of the porky pie tho but I think Labor has pulled the wool a lot harder.

The Unions would be pushing for local manufacture and I agree, if made in Australia you get the Rolls Royce but it's expensive. Either Party in Government has finite resources to fund multiple services and to keep borrowings manageable. We expect a lot but we won't tax like the Scandinavians who appear to have the local quality that you're on about.
