We just lost an Aussie icon, a national treasure if you will.

Genius gets thrown around a bit loosely when describing people, but this guy was a genuine one.

Never been one like him, his talent and courage took him to places most of us could only dream of.

Dame Edna was just brilliant comedy.

Sad time.

I would have posted this last night when it was breaking news but i didn't think there were many on here who would have cared one way or another.
We have lost a truly comedic genius but also a greatly loved and respected human being.
