I agree with most of what you say there Paddo. Any so-called biases with the ABC is more than made up for by the biases of Sky News and News ltd in general. The days of proper journalism in the mass media are long gone. It's just agenda pushing or 'alarmism' we get now and from all sides.

But its very different when one is taxpayer funded with a charter to be apolitical and unbiased, not providing opinions as such.

Others you have to pay for their services and can consume and choose what you pay for.

The ABC is a completely different kettle of fish.

Yep good point and fair enough. I really couldn’t be bothered watching news on either or free to air as I know both have their agendas. We do pay for Foxtel but that’s for the NRL and AFL and HBO or the other drama channels. We mostly like to stream good quality TV on the various streaming services these days. The days of enjoying Four Corners or ACA with Ray or Jana or Willesee are well and truly gone.

I used to like the ABC too Voods. Now, not so much. It needs to get rid of the lightweights that somehow arrived there in the Scomo era. Bias? Yes indeed. It's coverage of the Ukraine and anything concerning China is excruciating. Sarah Ferguson, silly ol' Stan Grant, the bloke on Insiders - they all belong on one of the commercials. Hopefully the ALP has plans for them but I won't get my hopes up.
