I'm so sick of seeing wingers score tries because their opposite number has run in to cut the ball off and not do so. Do they know that opposition halves are well aware of them jamming in-and adjust accordingly?? The up and in jamming defence isn't effective anymore- attacking teams have had a decade plus to work it out!
Addo-Carr was gifted 2 tries today because God knows where Cory Allan was. I mean if i was marking a winger that could run 100m in 10 seconds i would be in front of his face permanently- he can't go over you but he will go around you if you give him half a metre to work in.
Alex Johnston is made to look like best positional winger ever- all he does is stay close to the sideline and watches his opposite go on a hunting expedition infield- and waits for Cory Walker to get him the ball so he can go over untouched.
Just as i'm writing this i'm watching To'o score a try from a kick that should never have been- his opposite so far in star gazing at nothing.
Week after week game after game- FFS stay on your opposite winger like glue! Implement a $5000 cookie jar fine that goes towards the end of season trip to Fiji if your opposite winger scores a try-that will stop the rot!!
