A TOP rugby league star has left the UK in shame after he was nicked with cocaine following a drunken brawl.
Anthony Watts, 25, has been released by Widnes Vikings after he was arrested for being drunk and disorderly in the early hours of Saturday.
Cops in Widnes, Cheshire, said they found a small amount of cocaine in the Australian’s pocket. Watts was cautioned and released. He flew to Oz on Sunday after the club released him from his contract.
Just days earlier, he had signed a new 12-month deal with the Super League side despite being injured.
A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said: “At 3.40am on Saturday May 5 police were called following reports of a disturbance. Officers arrested a 25-year-old man nearby.
“He received a caution for being drunk and disorderly and for possession of a Class A drug.”
Watts had been sacked by Australian side Cronulla for fighting.
He was later released by Sydney Roosters after he was charged with assaulting his girlfriend — which he denied.
