I'll resist the temptation to be crass.

I will however ask, when was the last time a new league team got an Australian name?

Broncos, Steelers, Raiders, Storm, Cowboys (Dallas, not Urban), Rams, Mariners (a baseball name), Crushers (a baseball team in Lake Eire) and now the Pirates (baseball team in Pittsburgh.)

Perth people are massive bogans but that's a Melbourne word.

How come rugby league is the only sport with 'identities' and they all seem to have the name Elias

Western Australia has given us Chris Skase, Laurie Connell, Alan Bond, Brian Burke and the really big Australian, Gina "La Famigila" Rinehart.

Say goodbye to our NYC talent Curtis Rona if they get the final nod. He came to the attention of POS playing for WA Reds SG Ball team.

West Harbour used to be Wests and have no nickname Northern Suburbs used to be the Pirates then Wests rebranded to West Harbour Pirates. So there's two pirates in the one comp!

Fotballaget Fart is a Norwegian football club based in Vang. They play home games at Fartbana.

                        Est: 1934

I believe they moved their home ground from Redfern - or did they return there?
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

Sounds terriblewhy include West Coast when the Afl team Eagles has that name??
Keep Perth in the name Perth pirates or perth reds
Perth Reds is the best choice
